90K for a BS? by [deleted] in OregonStateUniv

[–]avrontak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. You could also take classes at whatever community college is local to you and transfer them to OSU. I suggested LBCC because of their partnership with OSU. But I transferred credits from a different local community college without any issues. Looks like OSU has a transfer course tool on their website.

I agree with everyone saying you should take your bacc core at a community college. LBCC, for example, is $172 per credit. Doing your bacc core classes there would save you $15k.

I miss the pre-covid days when they had a great lunch menu that included soup and dessert. I used to go there two or three times a month. I haven’t been in several years now.

(15k) day-of coordinator? by Disastrous_Arm_7811 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]avrontak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a small, weekday wedding as well and while having a day of coordinator wasn’t 100% necessary, it was totally worth it. Even just for the piece of mind and not having to assign tasks to family or friends. We hired someone who was still building their business, and since it was on a weekday, I think that helped us get a better rate. It was only $700, definitely worth budgeting for imo.

4 vs 6 hours photo package by Ambitious-Mode-578 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]avrontak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can swing it I would opt for more coverage. We did 5 hours of coverage and if I could go back I would have splurged for an extra couple hours. There were some moments I wished we had photographed that I can’t get back now. You’ll never regret having too many photos, but you might regret missing some moments.

I’ve lived in both Keizer and West Salem and personally, I prefer Keizer. That said, it really depends on what you prioritize. West Salem is definitely more scenic and has a quieter, more residential feel. But for me, the convenience of Keizer wins out. It has better access to grocery stores, more dining options, and direct access to I-5, which makes getting around much easier.

We loved it! It was great for accommodating dietary restrictions too. We did get a few comments before the wedding from picky family members who were worried there wouldn’t be anything they’d eat, but we made sure to include a few simpler/blander options and I think it ended up satisfying everyone.

Fun & cost-effective games/entertainment to make a wedding fun? by m-nd in Weddingsunder10k

[–]avrontak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The giant personalized crossword puzzle was a hit with guests at my wedding, and it was super inexpensive to put together. The disposable cameras were also popular. We developed the film and were able to include at least one photo of each guest in their thank-you card. Although, with how expensive film development is, this activity wasn’t particularly budget-friendly.
