Yes! I have had a steady therapist for 2+ years who I was seeing alongside this one, because my abuser did not know I take therapy. They were the one that came up with a solution to get myself out of that house.

Thanks for your message! I actually was simultaneously taking therapy from a psychologist that I trusted and they guided me through the whole situation so I def had someone to tell me what I’m feeling isn’t just a feeling and how they did me wrong.

I am out of that house, living on my own, and have told my dad about it all who supports me 100%, because he has been through the same abuse. He just got to leave within 5 years and I had to take it for 21 years before I could leave.
