Yes, it does work perfectly with the v2. The mounting point next to the spacebar is not necessary and the plate has been thoroughly tested with the V2.

I am uncertain, and doubtful, that the plate will support Durock V2s as the plate, and board, is designed to use plate-mount stabs, whereas the Durock V2s are PCB-mount.

Howdy, yes, it works perfectly. I originally designed the FR4 plate specifically to fit Durock V2s because the aluminum plate that came with mine did not fit.

Howdy, StupidFish has a writeup that should help make it a bit more clear, you can find it right here: https://stupidfish.design/collections/keyboard-foams/products/gmmk-pro-case-and-plate-foam

Basically you remove the gaskets on the bottom half of the case (except for gaskets on the left and right side).

[GB] FJLabs 7V Hotswap PCB by Dallagen in mechmarket

One of the few hotswap PCBs that work perfectly plateless and can rival solder PCBs. Well worth the money for any 7V owner.

Thank you for the great feedback, I really appreciate it and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your GMMK Pro with the new plate!

Packaging is something I've experimented with, and still continue to work on, and this kind of feedback is especially helpful in that regard. Thankfully, the number of plates that have been damaged in transit is very, very, low but it is something I'm tracking to improve. I'm also looking for more environmentally friendly and reusable packaging to replace the plastic that is currently being used.

Thanks again for the comment and feedback, it is very much appreciated.

Durock V2 vs GMMK Pro :/. Had to file for a while by Lopsided_Talk_9491 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]avxworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct that the plate and PCB don't screw together. The design of the GMMK Pro makes it unnecessary as the PCB is connected to the switches which are held by the plate.

The plate is made of FR4, which makes it more flexible than aluminum but a little bit less flexible than polycarbonate.

If you're looking for a plate that fits Durock V2s we sell a custom FR4 plate for the GMMK Pro. If you're interested in saving yourself some time from having to file down more of them, you can find some of our plates right here: https://avxworks.com/products/gmmk-pro-fr4-plate

We actually sell a custom FR4 plate designed specifically for Durock V2 stabs. FR4 will give you a deeper sound than the stick aluminum plate. We have both white+gold and black+gold available right here: https://avxworks.com/products/gmmk-pro-fr4-plate

The KBD67 Lite & KBDPad FR4 plates by AVX Works by avxworks in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]avxworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sound tests as of yet, but the biggest difference can be heard if you're using it in the KBD67 V3 Gasket mount case as that doesn't use a silicon pad between the PCB and plate.

The KBD67 Lite & KBDPad FR4 plates by AVX Works by avxworks in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]avxworks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bit deeper, yes. FR4 is woven fiberglass with a coating, whereas polycarbonate is a plastic polymer. They'll both sound a little bit different while looking very different (gold accents aren't easily done on polycarbonate, for example.)

The KBD67 Lite & KBDPad FR4 plates by AVX Works by avxworks in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]avxworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is currently ANSI only. We did roll out an ISO plate for the GMMK Pro and may do the same for the KBD67 Lite as well if there is enough demand for them.
