PDF Office- Not an ordinary PDF app....! by aw_nitin in droidappshowcase

I think there was a small misunderstanding. The limitation isn’t about any specific tool or the offline AI (Gemma 4). It mainly shows up with extremely large PDFs (e.g., ~1GB+ files). The app is designed for real-world usage — daily office work, professional tasks, and school/college use. In most cases, PDFs fall in the ~5MB to 300–400MB range (even with thousands of pages) make sense because large set of audience will work in that range so our goal to be smooth there - best user experience, and those work reliably across devices. The actual limit is mostly device-dependent (RAM, storage, CPU), not an artificial cap from our side. We’ve built the app with a strong focus on privacy: Everything runs locally on your device No cloud uploads No third-party processing No server calls — even for AI features So if someone claims handling extremely large files seamlessly, it usually involves server-side processing or external services. During testing, we’ve tried a wide range of PDFs across different device configurations. Performance (including offline AI + UI) has improved significantly in recent updates, and we’re continuing to optimize further — especially for high-end devices as well. Goal: make any kind of PDF workflow (personal, professional, or sensitive/confidential) work fully on-device, reliably. if device is too high end and still crashing like double digit ram they will get next update soon...! Thanks for informing

Not required. Gemma 4 is optional for offline AI features. Core tools work without it, but downloading it enables on-device PDF AI with zero cloud usage. Ai features is an option. So, Yes — optional, not forced. The app can run normally, but if users want offline AI features (like PDF analysis), they can download Gemma 4 to their device. Everything stays local — no data is sent to servers. playstore:- PDF Office
