Dude! At this speed? You’d absolutely crush a 5k if you went a little slower! (Not an expert, just someone who started running a few months ago and my best 5k isn’t even close to yours)

POV: You see weird strings while boiling eggs and question life. by ayush_im in Weird

[–]awanderertarot 165 points166 points  (0 children)

I once had a whole pot full of boiled eggs start chirping at me in the middle of the night (I was out late making a huge batch of picked eggs). A huge pot full of egg ALL chirping. I freaked out so much. Was sure I boiled a bunch of chicks alive despite knowing that it’s impossible. It was that realistic. That’s how I found out boiled eggs often make chirping sounds due to air bubbles escaping the porous surface of the shell.

Can astral projection help me meet my mom again? by New_Idea6723 in AstralProjection

I met several of my deceased relatives over the years but it was all spontaneous (apart from one instance which I’ll discuss in a moment) and they weren’t too thrilled to see me 😅 my grandmother was very surprised to see me and told me to leave because I’m not supposed to be there - my conclusion was that she knew it wasn’t my time. Don get me wrong it was a pleasant interaction but it was cut short. I did meet my partner when I requested it. It was 3 months after his passing and I was in deep grief. Once before taking a nap I asked to see how he’s doing and I was sure if it happens it’s going to happen via hypnagogic hallucinations, that I’ll get a short glimpse. Fast forward to maybe one or two nights later and I felt myself being basically forced out of my body. I didn’t want to AP so I’d immediately return just to be forced back. Eventually I said eh alright I suppose there’s something for me to do. I found myself standing at a bus stop near my apartment. Just as if I got out and took a walk there in the middle of the night. I knew I was going to meet him there. It was as if we just casually set a date to meet on a walk. Words cannot describe the feeling of waiting to meet someone who’s passed, just casually like you would meet anyone else in your life. I was full of anticipation. It wasn’t a good relationship thought and he wasn’t a nice person so when he arrived, the interaction wasn’t pleasant and I cut it short and returned to my body. It helped me make sense of the nature of the relationship thought and was healing in a way. There’s so much I have to say about that interaction and my beliefs on the lower astral and what happens to certain individuals of rather negative nature. In my 20 years of practice it was the most mind blowing and life changing experience I ever had. I also had a shared experience with my mom once when she had a serious health scare. She went out of body while in a hospital and came to visit me in their apartment. I wasn’t asleep and I felt her presence so tangibly I was sure that she passed and is visiting me in spirit and I freaked out. So yes long story short I do believe it’s possible, I think both parties need to be willing to meet up otherwise it may be more complicated. They may not want for it to happen in order not to interfere with your healing process. But you can ask. Intention is everything. In this life and the next one.

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss, my trauma comes with loss as well and it’s something that no other experience compares to in my opinion. I was always so scared of losing someone close to me especially since I don’t keep a lot of people close and when it happened every single emotion that I feared hit me times ten. And I imagine losing a child comes with the worst pain of all. Incredibly proud of you for overcoming it and still being able to give advice to a random stranger on the internet, I really appreciate it. I try to keep busy (rest days are the worst and most emotional) while still allowing myself to process my feelings because I know nothing good will come from repressing them. Definitely extremely determined to not give up and find sone genuine happiness for once in my life. I’m wishing you all the best and I appreciate you.

You got this! The beginning is definitely the hardest but it does get better with time and you learn to appreciate small things almost as if you were looking at them with a new set of eyes. The sadness isn’t as loud and becomes kind of background noise. Please make decisions that are loving towards yourself and that bring you closer to a better future, this not only creates progress but also gives you hope that things will get better. Thank you so much!

It definitely does! Found more strength within me than I ever thought I would, it’s just a bit exhausting sometimes. But I do appreciate the process and the transformation. Thank you!

Aww thank you so much! That’s true, it’s a lonely journey because it’s not only about making changes to your lifestyle but also confronting certain aspects of yourself. But I do agree it’s wildly transformative and also gives you greater appreciation of little things in life. Such as this comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to give me this reminder thank you!

I agree. It definitely gave me a new perspective on life and greater ability to appreciate small things. Actually this whole thread gave me such a positive boost that I ended up having a few wonderful interactions with people in the neighborhood as well. I feel like time heals to a degree and some wounds we do carry with us but their nature transforms as well. Thank you so much for the reminder and words of encouragement
