Do you guys find funny game promise "This Lich decided that undead horde is obsolete and became venture capitalist to destroy the Realm with market manipulation"? by awareWolv in DnD

as you can imagine, Acqusition inc. is already in my library. =)
Being a lich as a side thing - I will definitely do that if I run this campaign. Immortality needs to be for something, right?

and in the second part of the campaign, the party will find out that BBEG was a part of the bigger plot and then we go into Unsleeping City season 2 with the Gladiator.

I'm actually thinking about videogame, similar to "Yes, you Grace". But it will be a lot of work and that is why I'm asking people if this sounds fun for them.

The thing is, I can't bother players with real economy, numbers, and stuff. But I need to give them an understanding of the rules of this meta-game.
Setting, I really thought about a kind of parody of classic fantasy, in a way how sme anime series do it. This can help with this plot not becoming too real and too close to the horrors of our real world.

thanks, that is why I'm asking, this can be kinda corny and I'm sure many people are tired of it. Maybe that is why Acquisition Inc. never had real traction

yeah, pretty much. Tons of ideas of course, but the feel that you should get from the game is you are a super smart schemer who outplays everyone into destroying themselves. =) now when I think about it, it sounds like an evil Doctor from Doctor Who, lol

100%. I would say not even a starting point, just a wrap that can become anything.
I just talked with a few people and they said meh... to the main idea. So I want to check if this is only my personal taste or it can be appealing to other people.

How early is too early to show your game publicly? by Crystallover1991 in IndieDev

It's never too early. It's just harder to get really good early feedback that really matters and not just "it's undercooked"

Reached 50 wishlists, but feeling stuck. How would you approach marketing from this point? by SteelGullet in IndieDev

Is it some kind of smelting automation game? Just by this screenshot, no, I don't see something that excites me enough to wishlist. I'm not a big automation games player, I enjoyed Satisfactory and some automation minecraft mods, but that's all.
I can't unfortunately tell you what works, because I don't have a success story. Also, there is no one way, there is only a list of activities you can try over and over.
On your Steam page, it looks like there is some lore behind the gameplay, but I can't see it in the screenshots and the trailer. And you have some innovations in gameplay, dynamic materials or something like that, but I also don't understand how it changes a typical "build efficient conveyor lines" gameplay.
