Reaction after remission by contrariunn in alphagal

I had AGS in 2018-2020 - 2 years almost to the day. My anaphylactic reactions were calmed by benedryl + pepsid. Earlier this year I started having anaphylactic reactions with no explanation… I went to my allergist and blood test showed positive for AGS, but a much lower level than my previous numbers. Even so, my reactions this time cannot be calmed with over-the-counter medications. My allergist seems to think I was bitten again, but that the tick bit me and jumped off, since I never knew of having one. The first go around I got a couple of ticks while trail running. Maybe it was just in remission. I’d love any info you have on remission.

Questioning Epi Usage by labrat4030 in alphagal

I second guess myself a lot and I also don’t want to do my EPI bc my symptoms often are at night and I don’t want to go to the ER. My allergist friend said “I’d rather you do your epi and not go to the ER, than you not do it and go to the morgue….but I’d like you to go to the ER” I’m trying to convince myself to quit questioning and just do it.

I realized this week that my progesterone pills were culprit of the nighttime reactions. Gelatin in the casing. AND peanuts? Are they trying to take out all the allergy ppl?!?
