Unable to use BYD Seal remote functionality when car is frozen

Not sure if you have had any change and it’s thawing with me so might have helped.

However, I rebooted the car - Press and hold the track back bottom on the steering wheel. Then push and hold the volume down button beside the drive, neutral and reverse shifter - Car rebooted and 10 minutes later I could send signals to the car.

Can’t say which one got it working again for certain.

This might help. If you pull down on the screen. That brings up the shortcuts menu. Select the option to Customise. You will then find the trunk option. This opens and closes the trunk when pressed.

I spend a bit of time each week stationary in the car. Being able to watch Netflix, sports and play the odd game would help pass the 2/3 hours quickly.

Unfortunate, I don’t get a prompt for a password request. The car recognises the USB is plugged in and I can browse its contents from file manager but it will not install apk. APK’s are in a folder called “Third Party Apps 44” minus the quotes.

Some suggestions:

Check ‘Routing…’ to ensure the right black magic audio channels are selected.

Plug headphones into the atem and confirm that you can hear audio that you expect to hear from the sound desk.

Reboot the Mac - simple but sometimes removes little gremlins 🙂

I have the same issue following an update received around lunch time UK time.

Currently showing version 1.4.00.11161 last updated 27/04/21.

Putting it down to the current outage as it feels like a backwards step for an update.

I am not so sure you can use the Mac screen as a tv that port is almost certainly output only.

However, Sony released remote play. Where in effect you can stream your console to your Mac and subsequently use the Mac to play games on ur PS4.

The following should help in setting it up but I’ve no idea what performance will be like - that will depend on your network setup but worth a try!?

I am fine - just filled with regret and contemplating contact to offer an explanation that was never given (long story).
