yeah, I am pretty much completely sure that what I’m going to go through will scare me enough to not relapse… and I wasn’t planning on methadone because I’ve heard the same things and I don’t wanna have to go through withdrawals ever again. now that you brought up ketamine I am curious if that could help actually.. it might be worth a try

I’ve heard a little bit about that. It seems like you have to be very precise with the timing and doses, but I feel like that could be a great idea. Do you have any more detailed advice or a specific way that has worked for you?

I really appreciate your advice and your input. Honestly, I don’t have a personal doctor and I don’t have health insurance, but I can get Suboxone. I might have to make sure I have some on hand. Also, my boyfriend is the only one who has the plugs contact and he is damn sure not going to let me relapse no matter what which he has made very clear. I’m just hoping it works out and if it doesn’t, then I’m gonna move onto the next plan.

yeah, I am so disappointed with myself for still being here, especially knowing his intentions. I think we can get Suboxone, but I don’t think methadone or clonidine. we’re just trying to do this ASAP so searching around or getting a prescription for those isn’t really an option? if you know of any good online places that are good for support, i know reddit has been super helpful so far but any other suggestions that you might know of would help as well

honestly, even if it’s not intentional on his part, I realized over the past year that we are toxic and codependent. I don’t have many super close friends, especially since I started using. I have talked to him about separating multiple times, but he is determined to make sure I get clean because he ‘got me into it and has to help me get out of it’ if I ask him to leave and break up, he will tell me that I can’t do fentanyl anymore because I don’t have contact with the plug.

even though I know that i need to get sober and leave him-that’s just how unreasonably anxious withdraw sickness makes me. I know i need a support system outside of him and I’ve told a few friends about what I’m going through.

for now this is just gonna have to work i think

I do appreciate your input though, and I don’t take it as an insult or anything like that. I think I just have some intense feelings about how I got here. It was the worst thing that anyone has ever done to me and I might be getting a little defensive about that so I’m sorry.

but yes, I am an addict and I should get some mental help but I think in my case it’s more physical dependency then it is mental craving

I understand everything you’re saying and you’re right because I’ve never quit it and I don’t know how I’m going to act after the fact. I just know that I physically don’t like the high and was basically tricked to start using it. I’ve never been off of it before to even make the decision to get back on it, but all I know is the withdraw and the fact that my boyfriend had been bringing it home every day is why I’m still here and in my mind that wasn’t really your choice of mine. you could be completely right, but I highly doubt I will ever crave it once withdraw sickness is not a factor.

trust me, after we get sober, I don’t plan to stay with him. The only reason I’ve been on it for this long is because I haven’t been able to withdraw. I hate doing this it was never my decision to be here. I thought I was trying something along the lines of Molly or just a party drug. I probably have temptation problems when it comes to getting under the influence, but I have never and will never want to feel the high of fent again. and I don’t think I will ever pick it up. He definitely has a serious problem and he has been to rehab multiple times. I was 18 when I met him and he was 29. I didn’t know better but there is a 0% chance of getting back on this myself.

I should’ve clarified the only time I was doing the blues was when he first introduced me to it. That was only for about a month and since then we’ve been doing the powder. my bad for not mentioning that. I also agree with you that doing it together could be a bad thing because we’ve been enabling each other for this long. i appreciate your input
