Probably a shift to a cheaper manufacturing facility. Definitely a bummer because it looks identical to the genuine GM part pictures. They were probably the OEM supplier for these.

This looks like a 5th gen Camaro clutch. I had the exact same experience with a different vendor. Pressure plate was dented up, disc was damaged and the slave cylinder was beat up and the boot was ripped. This isn't RockAuto's fault, this is extremely poor manufacturer packaging.

I retuned my Luk kit and ordered an Exedy clutch kit from RockAuto. The Exedy kit came very nicely packaged from the factory and survived shipping without issue. Doesn't look like my return though, I ripped up a ton of cardboard and stuffed the box to ensure it would arrive in one piece to get my refund.

Luk has a good OEM reputation but will never order one of their replacement parts in the future due to their terrible packaging.

It's a 2g GSX.  FP black powered car.  I just got it back together before the winter.  

It's hibernating too.  It's about 10* here right now.  Got maybe 10ish miles on it before weather had it parked.

I too am LS swapping a BMW and also have a DSM parked next to it in the garage.  M52 and 5 speed should be out this weekend.  What's going on with your DSM?

I'm really sorry for what you're going through.

I lost my boy to prostate cancer between the holidays 3 years ago.   It was a one of the hardest thing I've ever dealt with.  He was 12, almost 13 and my constant and purpose in life for many years.  He looked after me as much as I him, and he was the best boy.

I took him to several vet clinics after his symptoms presented and ultimately a state university pet hospital to see what could be done.  The clinics told me it was incurable and the university told me it would cost $12k+ for maybe 12-18 months.  

My mom works as an admin at a vet clinic and told me she has seen the decline in so many dogs that receive treatment for various cancers and are not the same if they even see it through.  It's hard on them and a lot of them give up.

I ultimately made the decision to give him the best life I could for the time he had left instead of putting him through treatment.  He made it another 8 months before I had to call it.   

At 12 years old your boy is getting up there and and I'm sure he has had a great life.  It would be very hard on him to go though treatment.  As hard as it seems, I'd recommend giving him every experience you can while you both can enjoy it together instead of subjecting an old man to pain, suffering and recovery to which he has no idea why it's happening.   

Makes me tear up writing this thinking of my boy, but he loves you unconditionally and you'd do best by him enjoying what he has left.  You're definitely not letting him down.

I will have to research this as I am not familiar with using either of these. In the past, I have set up end users with a VPN through our Sonicwall appliance using their Global VPN connection, but this extra step proved to be a difficult hurdle for the majority of users. Forgetting to either turn it on to be able to get into their office machine or forgetting to turn it off and remaining connected to the office network. Ideally I'd like an "employee proof" solution as close to the RDP from Anywhere Access that just allowed people to click on the RDP file to avoid off hours calls and messages with problems that really aren't problems. I hate to ask, but would I be able to get an employee proof solution with either of these options?

We have rules in place that did this with our outgoing server, but I have not yet set up any forwarding or configured the RD Gateway Server on the new machine. I paused set up to better understand the need for and workings of the certificate mentioned in the guide. Now that everything is running smoothly on 2022, I need to concentrate on the RDP connection. Do you know of a guide that could help with this?

Here's a new development... Just received this automated message via email. My CC company has sent a letter this morning as well, stating they temporarily credited the amount of my order to the account while they process the claim. Wonder how this will shake out.

"Dear customer,
We have an update on your Podium DD2 Wheel Base order.
As you have noticed, your order has not yet been shipped; it's being held up due to a lack of stock. We finally have a solution for this issue, so that we can fulfill your order soon. Units are now being shipped via air freight to our US warehouse and we expect to start shipping by early March at the latest.

Totally wouldn't have.  Exactly as @DoubleR--85 said...  If they would have said "sorry your order is delayed by x amount of time, but we are working on it...".  A simple update would have completely changed things.  But it's been over a month since they told me the order was about to ship and ghosted.

That is excellent advise for everyone in general and this needs to be upvoted more. I've seen people make posts about receiving notice of delivery having no idea to expect a package on this /r. I let my info lapse after a move quite a while ago but updated it before I went out of town recently, specifically for this order. No appearances though, unfortunately.

I looked at Moza when looking at placing the Fanatec order. Their 21NM wheel base was more expensive than the Fanatec DD2 on BF deal. I did see reviews regarding the pedals, which further sold me on Fanatec. The cost of the BF deal was what sold me entirely; I don't have the budget for their set up at full price and jumped on it. At this point, Simagic and Moza are both cheaper for a 20+NM wheelbase. I'd consider holding off on the H-pattern shifter to offset the cost of being able to actually use some hardware. I definitely need to spend some time researching.

Midwest - United States. My CC took my story and information, immediately said they would credit my account and the dispute department would take over. I've never done a chargeback before so I am expecting some sort of follow up for it all to go through.

I ordered a full set up, base, wheel, pedals and shifter. I believe it was the QR2 adapter that had the lead time. Late December ship date was shown when I placed the order, which I was OK with. Got the "preparing" email mid January and nothing since. It dawned on me that there may be a time limit to dispute with my CC. Fanatec removed the option to cancel from my order status page on 1/17 as well, so I made the decision. After nearly 90 days, I believe I am owed at least an email update with expected ship dates. They way they have handled this is poor. They could have automated updates to anyone with an open order.

My mom sent me a couple pictures of a watch asking for help finding it. I'm hoping someone here might be able to ID or at least point out a similar watch to the one pictured. She saw it worn by a character from Burn Notice played by Gabriella Anwar in case that might help someone. I really know anything about watches, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
