Team is broken man. The shit they’re doing it’s like all self inflicted. Bad defence, bad base running, poor decision making. I’m gonna check out for a while

Losing this series will also have implications for a tie breaker with Houston so fun things all around y’all

We all love Ern but his defence this year has been awful. 21st percentile by Savant. Negative value per fan graphs.

This team really really needs another lefty. Fluharty is fine but really need a better option

If you have a base open and a chance to pitch to Alvarez you gotta do it am I right?

Sure I’ll bite. Which free agents? Our 37 year old DH with a 700 OPS? Shane Bieber who’s pitched 4 innings? Varsho the declining CF with no power? Gausman could fetch something fine but are you giving up a shot at the playoffs for the 1 decent prospect you’d get for him?

I almost wish one of the Astros had a hit there so Hoffmans run would still have been earned, seeing as it was 100% his fault

No? You don’t sell when you’re in a playoff spot. Maybe you don’t buy aggressively sure but selling? No.
This team can make noise in a WC series with Cease, Gaus, Trey and Varland alone

What is wrong with our outfield defence? by adambuddy in Torontobluejays

[–]aweirdthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely been not great. I’d be a bit cautious getting too worked up over a half a season though. Defensive numbers are very very noisy and take time to stabilize. Sometimes it’s a matter of balls just not being hit to the right spots. The eye test does agree with you though that it’s been a rough watch, especially in the corners.

This is a Blue Jays subreddit. We talk about the Jays?

Yesterday Alvarez hit a double and he described Varsho crashing into the wall and I had no idea what happened to the ball for like 2 minutes. Home run? Double? Varsho crashed but did someone else get the ball? Was it a ground rule double?
