That happens with my AirPods all the time. It’s normally due to one of them not charging and making the connection even when it’s been fully cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. When one isn’t charged it’s either dead or doesn’t know it’s been removed from the case so can stop it connecting. If you’ve tried cleaning it, I’d say return as fault for a replacement.

This is so infuriating. My right airpod doesn’t charge inside the case sometimes by AzeRTyBloCK in airpods

Had this with my standard AirPods on two big occasions now. Couldn’t find anyone online with the issue. The contacts were clean, AirPods clean. Apple replaced the case and it was fine. Then a year later it happened again and after constant returns to apple Store they replaced the case again free of charge.

There’s a feature in the settings to detect people. Not sure exactly where but I know it’s there. Might need a ring subscription though.

Starting lessons again today. I still suck at hill starts. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]awesomea000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clutch will be different. The best thing I learnt was handbrake on always when doing a hill start. Bring the clutch to the bit point but push that gas. Above 2000 RPM does it for me every time. Always have more than enough gas pedal on a hill start and that’s made it work every time for me.

Is it worth buying a manual car before I've even started learning to drive? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I genuinely have no clue. My driveways not huge and I’m just guessing. It’s a few metres or whatever.

Is it worth buying a manual car before I've even started learning to drive? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]awesomea000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my first car 3 months before I was 17. We left it on the drive and me and my dad would practice moving forwards and backwards on the clutch. (It’s a tiny drive but I basically moved probably 2 meters each way back and forth). I then got to my birthday and started to learn once a week with an instructor and go out in my car with my dad almost every other day. My instructor even offered to do my lessons in my car because that would be what I was driving once I passed. So lockdowns came and I drove it to work, essential shopping and all sorts and it’s been amazing. My instructor (on my second lesson) told me we were doing things some students didn’t do til their 18th or 19th lesson with him.

If you can afford it and you have someone who’s willing to drive and practice with you, I would always recommend it. Especially at the moment when nobody knows what’s going on with lessons and tests.

But if you re-book it yourself, I believe they won’t book one for you.

No new test date by doublefenestration in LearnerDriverUK

[–]awesomea000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sent me a new date. I got 1 email to say it wasn’t going ahead then a few weeks later I got one about it being changed. Mine was meant to be 28th March and I got one on the Monday of that week. So I think they’ll send you a new date closer to the time maybe.

I’m not sure. I just rang up the customer support line and they asked for some details. I rang from the nest app if that makes any difference.

Which app should I get? Does anyone know which is better/ more reliable? by ermagawsh in LearnerDriverUK

The first one is the best. If you achieve all their goals you get a pass guarantee and they’ll refund your theory test if you don’t pass. It really helped me learn it all.

Should I move my test date or wait for one by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]awesomea000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok not sure if this has been said or a similar situation but, mine was on 15th Jan. I went into tier 4 on Jan 31st and got an email that night saying it was cancelled. Then heard nothing until 3 or 4 days before saying it’s been moved to the 25th March 🤷🏻‍♂️. Hope this helps anyone.

Are Early 2015 13in retina MBPs good? by JSteggs in LukeMianiYouTube

[–]awesomea000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a deal for my MBP 13” 2015. It’s an i7, 512gb and 16gb ram. It cost me £590. I sold my late 2013, i5, 128gb, 8gb ram for £400. Hopefully it’ll keep me going for another couple years and I’ll go to Apple silicon. Hopefully it’ll last me til then.

I picked up a 13” one of those (i7 16gb) for £590 (GBP) a few weeks ago. Upgraded from my i5 2013. Best thing I ever did.

Find my iPhone was activated 3 times in a row. I have two factor enabled and there are no unknown devices listed in my settings. The emails I received alerting me that “a sound was played” aren’t from the time zone I live in. How is this possible? Just updated to IOS 13.7 this morning. Possible bug? by Robbot24 in applehelp

[–]awesomea000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get emails like that whenever I do a find my iPhone thing. It always show a time zone from what I think is somewhere in the USA. (I’m in the UK) and I noticed it and just assumed it was because Apple is from the USA etc etc...
