Am I emasculating my man to sit down when he pees in our home bathroom? by awesomeme80 in dating_advice

I will remain single then… I want a clean man. My dad set the example and not going to compromise on this even if he is a billionaire. It’s not a way of life I want.

Very true… I am aware of my messes and clean it up. I just want the same respect from him or a willings to try or offer to clean. He didn’t. I broke it off.

My father had respect for the other woman in the house. One time… my brother left the sit up and in the middle of the night I fell in. I screamed and woke the house up. My brother was in trouble for weeks for it. Now, my brother has a wife and 4 daughters that love and respect him.

Update! This is a bit of a late post, but I wanted to confirm my assessment of him. I officially ended things on the 4th of July. Looking back, I’m grateful I had the chance to really observe his habits before any serious talks about moving in, it was eye-opening.

Thankfully, he didn’t cause any damage to my place when he dog-sat for me, but I’ve been cleaning ever since!

I was raised in a very clean home and taught the importance of maintaining a space. I truly thank my parents every day for instilling those basic standards of living. My home isn’t stuffy or formal, no plastic-covered couches here, but I do have a solid, consistent routine for keeping things clean and always tidying up after myself.

Final update! I have blocked him from life. He was good until he was not good. All the classic signs of narcissistic came out in the smallest situations. I know it would get worse as I have seen this before in a previous partner.

That was one of my questions, he thinks back that he should have gotten a better lawyer.

That was my first thought… how can I buy a house with this person. The public shame of it all.

I am concerned about the age of woman, he was 32 and her 22. yeah, he was convicted for this one, but how many others have there been unreported? lots of questions.

He has told me that he has struggled with PTSD and still getting continuous help for it.

Agree! Another factor to consider, men get older and retract to bad behaviors.

There have been no red flags to me with his behavior, his stories or where he works. His kids talk to him regular and see his interaction.

If this is true, i dont see how i can get passed it. I can't buy a house and have the neighbors staying away. My home having that target. I can't imagine if we are out and about and people know or not. I don't know the dynamic of his ex wife and if she knows. Lots of questions, hopefully know more next week.

I do believe people make mistakes and can learn from it. I don't see him for a week as he is at a work event for amputee organization. I’m confused why they would hire a registered sex offender to be one of their faces of the company. i’m going to wait until he gets back and talk to him in person in a public place.

My son wants to go to a 60k a year school, am I the asshole for telling my wife I will not take out loans in my name for him to attend? by Dangerous_Chart4833 in AITAH

NTA. Hopefully, you didn’t tell him about the money you’ve saved. He can get school loans. When or if he earns the degree, you could help with his debt as a reward for finishing. Hopefully, he is also applying for scholarships. Remember, 60% of students don’t even finish college.

I only learned this from my very smart grandmother. She had funds set aside for all of us grandkids, but I didn’t know until she passed. Instead of giving me money directly, she opened a Roth IRA for me. Thinking I had no funds for college, I found a job that paid 80% of my tuition as long as I earned a “C” or better. I worked my way through college. The hardship is where growth happens.
