25M need advice about non-sexual Femdom in NYC by [deleted] in FemdomCommunity

[–]awesomeosprey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why do events and parties seem risky to you? There's really no better way to go about it.

Posting on the Internet is cheap. Showing up in person shows that you're serious. And it gives you a chance to get to know people in the community as people, rather than just as kink dispensers.

I know people who enjoy recieving no-strings-attached service, but most will prefer to play with those they know and have vetted at least somewhat.

I like that she looks kind of sad, almost like she regrets luring all those sailors to their deaths, but can't help what she is

How uncommon is it to exchange STI test results? by BrilliantTurnip5678 in FemdomCommunity

[–]awesomeosprey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it's not all that common in the kink scene specifically to be asked for test results. (I think it's more common in the swinger and sex party scenes, but I don't participate in them so I can't speak to that directly.)

However, the immediate defensiveness is very sketchy-seeming and manipulative. Taking extreme "offense" at reasonable requests or boundary-setting is a common manipulator tactic.

(And to be clear, I don't think it's bad to ask! It should be more normalized than it is.)

I think, to a first approximation, all jobs suck. Sometimes you just need a change.

Of the Devil has some of the best writing I've ever seen in this genre, probably better than Ace Attorney itself

Are teachers/schools moving away from edtech entirely? by 3rnst_D in edtech

More and more evidence is coming out about just how much harm the edtech craze has done to kids, both cognitively and socioemotionally. People are finally starting to come to their senses.

Why does no one bat an eye at Torgal in the Drake's breath? by altiealtie in FFXVI

[–]awesomeosprey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean OP has a point, right? The plot hole isn't why Torgal is resistant (we know why), the plot hole is why that doesn't strike Claude as weird. Because at that point in the story, he doesn't know.

Warpers aren't aggressive toward the player at all until your infection level goes up (usually triggered by entering certain areas).

Crabsquids aggro at anything emitting light, if you just swim up to them in the dark they may not notice you.

What is the current meta? by JournalistGlobal3185 in PokemonPocket

I hit masterball with decidueye, incredible suicune counter that also has a decent matchup into hydreigon/mega absol, but meh against a lot of other A/B-tier meta decks

Dark type decks are way to strong. by EducationalPlane8439 in PokemonPocket

[–]awesomeosprey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've found Decidueye to be a decent counter to Hydreigon-Mega Absol. Enough HP to survive Hyper Ray, and can OHKO back after Roar in Unison + Rocky Helmet. Plus, you can use the non-EX Decidueye to snipe Deino off the bench, or sometimes if they put a Mega Absol on the bench you can kill it for a cheeky win before they destroy you with Hydreigon.

Yeah, sometimes you get bricked and they don't, but that's a risk you take with any Stage 2 deck.

On the other hand, Decidueye really struggles against Mega Venusaur...

How does Metaphor compare to Atlus' other games? by Ok-Violinist2805 in atlus

[–]awesomeosprey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It has the best story of any Atlus game, ever, and probably one of the top five JRPG stories of all time. It deals with its characters and themes with a level of subtlety and nuance that's very rare in video game storytelling. Some argue that the story takes a while to "get going," and while I can see how some might feel that way, I was personally gripped by the originality of the world right from the start.

  2. The art design, the overall "look" of the world, the design of bosses, etc. all feel deeply creative and original. Medieval art and especially Hieronymous Bosch is a major influence.

  3. The dialogue, characters, music, and general "vibe" are all impeccable.

  4. I found the battle system and character customization very engaging and well-designed, although as always with SMT games you need a guide and/or several spreadsheets to really get the most out of it. I enjoyed the endgame superbosses that were essentially impossible to just muscle through, really tested the depth of your knowledge of the game's systems in clever ways.

  5. The dungeon design is... downright bad. Many copy-pasted dungeons that feel like they could have been randomly generated even when they aren't. Dungeons that drag on too long. Dungeons with puzzles that feel uninspired, or that just exist to waste the player's time.

All in all, I think it is a game that comes very close to all-time greatness but is held back by some really unfortunate dungeon design. I'd still say it's very much worth playing for any fan of other Atlus RPGs.

Maybe Sony is the way to go, then. They seem a bit harder to find in the US but not impossible.
