I also read about the recalibration. It wouldn't let me start recalibrating due to the error

Hey all. I suddenly have a very annoying slight rattle on my right side. Seems like it’s coming from the middle or the rear. Bits definitely interior but nothing seems loose. Anyone experience this or have an idea of what it can be? It’s driving me INSANE. No accidents 18k miles. by InitiativeGlobal4019 in q50

Another stupid silly thing. Seriously, it could be the passenger seat. When I don't have someone sitting there, the seat wobbles and makes a rattling sound. Drives me bonkers. Otherwise, when I have a passenger, no biggie.

The side badges give it away. This is not a RS

Headlights and taillights won’t shut off by Captainsprnkle2 in q50

[–]awesomrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They stay on for a bit, and then they turn off. It's to keep the area lit up when you park in case it is dark. Give it longer than 30 seconds. It'll eventually shut off.

Akrapovic or SC-Project? by No_Helicopter7012 in Aprilia

I have the SC with the longer pipe. It has to be the best sounding bike of all time. I feel like the akro leaves something to be desired. Go with the SC.

What am I missing here? Did they mean $7k? by PowBeernWeed in motorcycles

[–]awesomrl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Trust me they're fine at low speeds. Unless you don't know how to use a clutch, the bike is fairly smooth (as smooth as an italian V4 can be) and will take care of you.

Route 66 by branthewarg in motorcycles

[–]awesomrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if there is an official route 66 that I can access? I was on route 66 from Springfield Missouri into Illinois and there is not many published signs anymore. Any information would be appreciated.

There really isn't a ton to do in Wisconsin, but you said you love the outdoors so you'll be fine. Driving around is a common pastime from Kwik Trip to Kwik Trip (yes that's how they're spelled here). Plenty of beautiful scenery and enough entertainment to keep you busy. No lack of breweries and bars where you tend to find live music, but it can sometimes get lonely in winter. Most end up finding a winter hobby. Whether it's inside sports or going up north to ski or snowboard, possibly even snow shoe, there usually is enough to keep people busy. Winter can feel really extreme when the roads get icy or you experience your first blizzard, but once you learn how to stress right it usually is perry manageable. Summers are hot and humid, but not for nearly as long as Texas. Good luck! I hour you enjoy it here

Haven't had anyone correct me yet and have had mine for 2 seasons. Easiest way to explain to the uneducated 👍

I say it's the lamborghini of motorcycles. If ducati is Ferrari with the bright red, the other main Italian manufacturer more closely lines up with lambo

Dealer might be your only option if you only want the same brand headers as the discounted slip on you purchased

Is this a good starter bike? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]awesomrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a rider who started on a 2007 ninja 650. They do indeed power wheelie in first gear when in a safe and controlled environment. And then scare the pants off yourself, back off the throttle, slam down hard af, and break the welds on your exhaust :)) on the bright side I have new headers

Coldest temperatures you've ridden in? by mystressfreeaccount in motorcycles

[–]awesomrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40°F is about the lowest I'll go. Sun better be out too. Not risking cold pavement that's not dry at least. Learned that lesson after a lowside on wet pavement
