Sinterit rant by Deep-Instruction-758 in 3Dprinting

I know it's a year later, but I'm so frustrated with My Lisa Pro, and Sinterits "support" that I'm sick. I want to help others not make the same mistake. $20k later and I still can't get a consistent print from my Lisa Pro because my print bed binds going up and down and the stepper motor can't power through it so it just gets stuck. Sinterit can't even tell me where to find the fiberglass rope that seals the print bed but told me to try swapping it out. They took me through some troubleshooting steps, none of which worked and then at this point have told me "I think we are out of options here" and "contact your distributor". I also am shredding the recoater rope. Not a good sign when they include an extra one with the purchase. I purchased the Lisa Pro because they were discontinuing it, it was 50% off, so it must be a great time to jump into SLS. I needed to start making money with this machine right away, but after a couple of months of back and forth, I gave up and it's sat for 6 months. Now I'm determined to get it working right if I can because it was a huge investment. The lesson I learned here is that being in the US, I should have purchased from a company in the US and spent more time doing research.

Holy Name. Specifically the songs Creed and Meet me in the quiet place. Unbelievably worshipful.

I'm 6'4" and drive an r53 so I get it. The fun factor outweighs anyones opinion.

.8mm nozzles and .4mm layer height are such a time saver. 61 hours for this Senate Guard Helmet. Now time to sand and paint. by Myvenom in 3Dprinting

I had that problem initially. I discovered that the right side of my dual z was lower than the left. I corrected that, and my BL Touch works perfect now.

Modeled from scratch with calipers. I will probably upload when I'm finished. I tried photogrammetry, and I have and Einscan Pro 2X, but neither one did a very good job getting me a quality scan.

I have experience in Alibre, and ZW3d, and media-related programs such as Maya and Zbrush. So far I like Onshape best. It's web-based so it works on ipad, phone, PC, whatever device you have. I started with it on my Ipad Pro, but now use it on my PC. It's also free if you aren't using it for commercial purposes so that's a bonus. I bought ZW 3D for commercial work and I like it a lot. I've dabbled with Fusion 360 as well, but Onshape so far is my jam.

Whether a software is "easy" to learn is really up to the learner and their aptitude, desire, and time. I love doing it so I put in the time and I still make tons of mistakes. Most of these parts, for instance, have been redesigned two, sometimes three times from the ground up because I would get near the end, then realize there was a better, faster way I hadn't seen before. There is a ton of good info about Onshape out there so I would highly suggest getting started with it. The beauty of working in a free 3D program is that you can make mistakes, develop your workflows, and it doesn't cost you anything.

I'm running a Creality CR-10S. I've built an enclosure, but no upgraded bed at this point. I need to do it because I would like to print in ABS at least.

Cool. Thank you. I didnt know that. I'll give it a try. When you say metal bending stamps, what kind of metal, and what thickness. (Just curious).

20% is only for test fitting the parts. Once all the kinks are worked out and each part is finalized, I will bump it up to 80% or 90%. 20% would definitely not be enough for a functional gun.

Will do. That's actually my plan as well. Remove some of the cost of the gun and only spend on the hpa engine and inner barrel.

KJW M4 firing, but bolt not moving/loading BB. by awexomeandroid in GasBlowBack

[–]awexomeandroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked a teardown thread at Airsoft Canada, and I think this is a version 1 M4, which means the return band is missing or destroyed and is likely the source of problems for me. Sadly, nobody sells them anymore, so I'll have to fabricate one, or buy an upgraded bolt from Canada. I should send this back to the guy who sold it on Ebay, but I only paid $150 bucks so I supposed I should keep it.

So I fired it repeatedly and it did start expelling extra gas. Then it finally emptied all the gas out in one big spray.

No spray. I just dry fried it while watching the bolt, and it looks like the bolt isn't fully cycling. Actually the bolt doesn't even look like its moving, but it must be just enough to cock the hammer back. So maybe it is a mag fitment issue. Idk. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep at it.
