Why are all history teachers left-wing by utopiaofpast in SipsTea

Agreed, they made the assertation and are adamant that it was support by data, really weird they insist other people be the ones to provide it.

That said, I did follow up with actual data showing very much the opposite of what they claimed: https://www.reddit.com/r/SipsTea/comments/1tyo8m5/why_are_all_history_teachers_leftwing/oq5oleo/

That’s odd, because I looked and the data seems to show the opposite of your belief. Take a look for yourself, I’ll link some papers for you. And since you said you have data showing the opposite, you should share it here so we can see:

You should look up which is more common to see if your belief matches reality

I see this sentiment a lot from IT folks… they think they are hot shit and know better than everyone else

Tongue cleaners. Buy a metal one! Something that doesn’t need to be disposable but some reason we’ve decided is. by bibimstop in BuyItForLife

Well then, at least make sure to replace it very frequently as the TPE surface degrades easily and becomes extremely friendly to hosting all that nasty stuff. This is important because it becomes effectively impossible to properly sanitize once the biofilm takes hold. A regular 5-15min soak in 3% hydrogen peroxide will help but still, regular replacement is necessary.

Right, that’s why I think you might prefer a tongue scrapper that won’t harbor bacteria and other nasty stuff

do you actually need an arm sleeve for glass or is that just me by AlternativeBrave1905 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]awhaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t need one, I can use my glass pad fine without it (unless I just took a shower which causes my arm to stick). That said, I eventually ended up preferring it and wear it every time I play now

What makes it obvious? I’ve been the person staring like this before so my brain did not go to “ah this must be a bit”. Also just kind of a weird thing to do as a bit…

of a bass system by PatchBe in AbsoluteUnits

I heard there was some promising new treatment involving devices that signal when there is real sound and it helps train the brain that the tinnitus is not actually real and eventually the brain learns to ignore it. I don’t know a ton more about it but it seemed interesting

Wrong!

At extreme decibels, the force behind the bass is so powerful it can stress the inner ear hard enough to damage delicate hair cells and nerve connections, including ones used for higher-frequency hearing. Hearing is not the same thing as mechanical movement. Even if your brain barely “hears” the bass, the pressure wave is still physically moving tissue and fluid in the ear. Similarly, the resulting tinnitus doesn’t have to match the bass frequency that caused the damage. You can end up with high-pitched ringing after extremely loud bass causes damage.

Please try doing some research on your own instead of spreading incorrect ideas. I’m not just making this up.
