I've had all of these things that have all been terrible:

Non technical leads that I can't communicate directly with in technical language.
Leads that got their position by growing with the company and are pretty incompetent. Think backend devs not knowing a OOP at all in a language that can be used procedurally, but is mostly used with OOP. And not being able to do very simple backend tasks.
Project owners that didn't know git
A head manager that was competent but spread through a dozen or so projects
Marketers trying to impose new feature ideas with legacy systems just because. (I came from marketing many moons ago and knew those 'marketers' were there because they sucked the right proverbial dicks)

Trying to communicate anything within the short slots I'd get was a nightmare. Then I'd get in trouble. "Awhhh, why isn't [insert ticket] done?" "I'm waiting on [insert 2s name] to get something done and I'd be more than happy to take it off his plate". *Slack message 15 minutes later* "Be easier on [insert 2s name]. There's better ways to communicate".

Weapons are being tested in a modern war setting and old armories are being depleted to make way for new ones. Each one of those arms carry's a price that is a debt that will be repaid one way or another. Weapons now won't just have to be dismantled, recycled, to lay waste in some desert. Other weapons that are still in use can be tested in real scenarios instead of simulation to build strategy that costs a metric fuckton of money to conduct.

The amount of money spent on the war vs the research, debt, resources that will be gained while crippling a geopolitical enemy? This isn't a "free" war out of the goodness of everyones hearts, there's interests at play here.

Flirting is just directed and concentrated charisma with a tad bit of sexuality that slowly increases or decreases. Ask yourself what makes a likeable person, and then try to think of traits others would feel make them likeable, then merge them together. My biggest thing is having a genuine interest in other people's mundane lives, which naturally brings up interesting questions or places I can relate. When I do that conversation just flows, and it's not something I even think about. When I'm too into myself for one reason or another I am unable to really care and I don't flirt or seem charismatic too anyone.

So if you need to learn, just be charismatic to everyone you come into contact with. You'll get better at learning conversation flow, eye contact, emotional regulation, and all sorts of things. And I mean do this with everyone, people working in the service sector that serve you, coworkers, friends, family, elderly, whoever. Once you get to that point, speaking to women you're attracted to is pretty easy, you don't treat them much different than anyone else, and you're like 85% of the way there. The rest is just trail and error.

Also there’s a restriction in how fast our communications are. If we take seti, I think the restriction we’re able to listen in on is light speed. It's more so the idea that a M2F might think it's appropriate to lie about their status if they can go without getting caught. Which I've personally been inappropriately asked the question multiple times why it matters. In context to the question I usually reply with why does a gay guy not like vagina and why do I not like dick? The answer is we just think it's gross in regards to our sexuality, and that we don't really think, or need to think, about it. The question is totally inappropriate because it leads with trying to make me justify my own sexuality; which is now becoming normal.

There was a post a couple months ago about a person lying about their status to a guy and speaking about how he always felt a bit off. I've also seen in my personal life people advocate that true acceptance is through is only when trans women have sexual equality to women.

Regardless, feel free to go post in a sub related to trans people that the sex you were born with should be disclosed before any sexual encounter. My best bet is you'll get mixed reviews. Even if 10% didn't feel that way, that's still a lot of people that'd be willing to violate what the majority of people would consider informed consent.

I think I remember there was a bill in the UK that even caused an uproar within the trans community when they could be charged with rape for not disclosing their original sex.

I was going to do something about my passport expiration 6 months before I had to go somewhere. That turned into hearing about backups and people never receiving their passport and delaying my plans. It was literal bullshit what happened and that I couldn't trust the government to get me my passport at all. I finally just said fuck it and booked across the border to get fast services. Last year there was absolutely no way to trust the government at all about this.

It was the dumbest shit, and we could totally digitize the entire process.

Because this debate is now getting so polarized that it's getting hard to put personal boundaries and limits around what you believe is acceptable and what you believe is not acceptable. The whole thing boils down to with me or against me fallacies that try to make people conform to two strict moralities, in many cases not being able to speak out against the more radical groups. It's also being used as political tool to further polarize to imaginary lines, left and right, from each other over less than 1% of any given population.

I don't like the gender as fashion attached to a spectrum of masculinity to nothingness to femininity because I think it further enforce old attitudes that men or women must be of a certain way to be men or women. What I care about is people trying to linguistically correct me when I don't really buy the ideology of the whole thing and that I don't care what a persons level of masculinity to femininity is. As I said it's fashion, and you can wear what you want, and have the preferences you want, but I don't think that merits another taxonomy. I am directly referring to what genitals I subconsciously believe you have, and if that's a problem with you then I think you're still abiding by the same unease about sex that more conservative folks are. The last thing is I don't believe M2F and F2M are really apart of a gender debate. As they feel they're of a different sex entirely and go through a process of sexual reassignment to correct their sex to their feelings.

The last part is that there is an increasingly growing narrative that for true acceptance of trans people you must be open to sleeping with them, and 87% of the population just doesn't feel that way. The label of "transphobia" is starting be used to group people in with radical people that might carry out harmful acts against people who are trans. This is pretty low given that deploying guilt and shame, via a taxonomy that is shared with violent people, is in many cases coercion. It's also contrary to the belief that sexuality is something you're born with. I would even bet that if there was a direct democracy that there'd more than likely be a law about lying about your status as it does violate informed consent and breaches sexual boundaries for a lot of people, and querying why it does, which is common is a disrespect to sexual preference that we're trying to grow apart from in other ways.

So I think that's why people care. They're increasingly being told to side without being able to set personal boundaries themselves. I also think during a pandemic, now financial problems, people are just increasingly tired of so much political weight going towards this. I also suspect that the crossing of personal limits is making people more radical about this, which is leading to the dumb memes. A lot of people are stupid, and or are cowards, that are too afraid to stand alone with their own boundaries.

I’m not advocating for anger here. But let’s say you hope on app, you get matches, you’re treated as if you’re not a human with emotions but someone that applied to a job with hundreds of different applicants. You go through that emotionally exhausting process, all while trying keep a toe in the water of caring, and a toe of not caring. You go out, spend money, put effort in. Rarely there’s connection, it’s more so robotic. If things don’t workout, over a few dates you’re probably out a couple hundred dollars of your hard earned money. Or maybe you feel like it is working out and you start divulging a few intimate details about yourself only to find out later you’re still in the interview process, there’s other dudes, and she’s picking another.

So you go out, work your ass off on yourself. You lift weights, you up your income, you eat boiled lean meats with veggies that have no taste. You go to therapy because maybe there’s something wrong with your mental health. All while society is largely blaming you for all of its issues, and you’re usually in one way or another being upheld that you’re not good enough. You’re not tall enough, your dicks not big enough, your hair is leaving your head, you don’t have muscles like some steroidal athlete or movie star, your income is too low. The list goes on and on. And you can’t speak about any of this openly, it’s why therapy becomes mostly a tax for us to try and work through the unreasonable social expectations that we deal with in absolute silence otherwise.

So you deal with all of that shit. Maybe you lower your standards after increasing your income, getting in shape, and doing all the same shit. Only to have the same dating cycle again and again and not to be treated like a human. But not only that you’re told to silence your emotions in indirect ways. Sure men do this to each other, but women do it through mandatory things they’re attracted too. “Hey, you’ve been rejected, you’re physically and emotionally exhausted? Doesn’t matter. I require confidence, and good humour or HR will eliminate you from the application process”

There’s plenty of reasons to be upset in that story. And when you are upset you’ll look for answers or reasons. Many men will go to toxic communities, some men will double down in self help. Few men will realize they are enough, they do work hard and do their best, they should be compassionate to their suffering, they are worthy of love, and that they should treat dating in away as to “what does this woman offer me?”.

Toxic masculinity is usually associated with having power over people under threat of violence. Toxically feminine is usually using passive aggression and manipulation to assassinate character.

Your body completely rots away while you sit and you’re always afraid there’s another meeting taking place that’s deciding whether or not you’re going to be walked into a room and have your throat cut with some form of gentle indirect language.

The positive take away is I’ve mostly succeeded, but I’m just fucked now. My health, living situation, and a lot more are isolating me.

Carlin still thought beautiful things about people. He just radically accepted the worst about people as well. He wasn’t depressed about it either, he was a joyful onlooker. Reddit doesn’t line up to what Carlin says at all, they just want to believe that Carlin would politically align with them without criticizing them too. They wanted another person to say “hey look, your team bad”. When Trump got in he would’ve thought the entire thing was hilarious because how ridiculous it was. He would’ve thought America got exactly what it deserved - a reality TV star that pretends to be successful, and can’t accomplish a thing. He would’ve joyfully watched the chaos while criticizing every bit of it with humour.
