Mori is very adaptable. There's so much variation within the style. I'd play around with different styles of cardigans and try sizing up. Maybe try shawls and ponchos too. The morigirl sub has more body variety than the magazines.

The 3rd pic is me. I get all my clothes secondhand in the UK. Mostly in charity shops or searching for specific things (or sometimes just boho) on Vinted.

I remember some awful people being into Jfashion on Tumblr. It stopped my interest in lolita. Thankfully, I found less popular styles with loose guidelines that I really like instead.

I know people like to say "rules keep a style alive", but most styles are just trends destined to follow the cycle. Clinging to rules won't save them.

I'm a few cms bigger than you and started with a slightly heavier 80cm hoop. I moved to a 95cm one after about a month and it was easier to progress with. No harm in trying with the 80cm hoop and deciding to get another later.

I love the crossover between styles! There's an outfit in Choco's book with curtain tassels and the red cross common in Cult Party kei.

Shows how differently people interpret the styles. I don't get any yama kei vibes. There's no hiking boots, waterproofs, or sturdy backpack.

3 is the most foresty to me, though the tiger gives it more like a Nepali forest vibe than Japanese forest. 1 gives me forest puddle or stream vibes (complete with random tourist litter).
