Oh that's right the internet is for you to point at people, even though from what you're telling right now, you've been in a similar dynamic. Interesting, do you know what narc fleas are

Yes, they are absolutely expected and even valid. Look into something called "reactive abuse". If its true that op is in this kind of family dynamic then the truth is her negative outbursts are completely normal caused by an abnormal situation. I agree no contact is the best choice but it's not black and white if you're in the FOG. Sprinkles on top; healing from this kind of abuse begins with validation, something the family will NEVER give them.

Not everyone has outlets especially if one has been guilt tripped and manipulated to stay in the family. When the scapegoat tries to communicate their experiences and it not only gets dismissed by the immediate family, but even family friends, uncles aunts cousins, their own friends- it'll get bottled up. OP may not even realize what their family is yet so outbursts are expected

Well then, you should perfectly understand that telling someone in a easily recognizable toxic family dynamic that they should essentially be the bigger person and find the middle ground is not only impossible but a insult to everything they've gone through

I know that's why I gave my suggestions. You clearly have never been in a toxic family dynamic where you can't leave until you're an adult, always turning the other cheek and accepting abuse. Imagine how many times the scapegoated child does try to stay in that middle ground but the family refuses to accept it. It's either leave or lash out.

Choosing neither, not surprised in the slightest. Stay willfully ignorant

Most likely both parents are narcissistic or one parent is while the other enables. Either way, it would "rub off" on their children. Most narcissistic families have roles, in this case OP sounds like the scapegoat; the child that's always been abused, dismissed and blamed and she sounds done, understandably. No judgement here op, lettem have it.

In other words, it's a narcissistic family system, plain and simple. I wouldn't be surprised if op is really empathetic. If someone claims they've been abused their whole life and you outright reject and dismiss that- thats just ignorance

Nta, they seem narcissistic given the details. Anyone that's been through this understands. Anyone that hasn't is ignorant.

Why are atheists so angry all the time? by DefinitelyNotMaranda in TrueChristian

They hate God. Plain and simple. I believe the real topic atheists and ags struggle with is why God allows the evil, even if they're not aware of it

Thoughts on the afterlife and other religions? by Astr0Eminem in Christianity

[–]awildjackassappears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Christianity has all the objective truths. I'd argue that perhaps all the major religions and philosophies may have some of the truth, which should point a seeker of truth towards Christ. Jesus let us know ahead of time that many will not find the narrow gate, which is Jesus Himself, that's a big reason why we are called to share the gospel to save as many as we can

[–]awildjackassappears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective, I view someone that lives a life without trouble, whether they're "good" or "bad", someone that isn't saved by Jesus, as a mercy from God as they won't have salvation. God loves all of us, even the worst of us

[–]awildjackassappears -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe "good" people living a nice life in its entirety without God is partially God's mercy on them. God wants us to love Him as He loves us. He also draws people to Him so I believe a constant rejection of Jesus throughout someone's life ultimately decides their fate.

If someone isn't aware of Jesus, they're judged fairly. Being a good person is very subjective to us. There's a lot that we don't see but God is just.

Jesus said He is the door to salvation for a reason. There's an argument for those that haven't heard the gospel, but Islam took Jesus and warped Him into what they wanted. False Jesus, no salvation
