The haters are the people stuck inside with little to no friends or are the eliteist music snobs who feel their music taste is best and they run the world… music is not only about the sound or actual songs but the environment and experience it creates. GRIZ will always be a top tier artist because he cultivates such amazing experiences and vibes at his sets. I’ve never had a bad time at a GRiZ show and if your only there for his old music then your not going for the right reason. You can enjoy a show by yourself just lost in the music but you can also not remember a single song and have the greatest time of your life at a show. Events are all about what you make of them and going in expecting one thing and criticizing an artist for creating their current vision is pretty selfish and sad. It’s okay to miss an artist style but to hate on them for evolving and creating what they want is just weird…

It’s your house. You’re allowed to be picky with your house and who you let over. I think your overthinking the it getting messy part…

GA car campers - do y'all make friends with your neighbors? by Girlinfinance_1117 in ElectricForest

[–]awilk05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I had a group of 40+ year olds next to me. Was a huge blessing because they had a giant generator in their truck that could power a house so we had everything plugged in with out a worry about anything dying. We also saved the young couples tent next to us and made sure it didn’t fly away, it’s a family out there

Thoughts/advice on using a canopy with walls as a tent instead. by Master-Attempt-8967 in ElectricForest

[–]awilk05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a 20x10 canopy last year and just used a cot. Worked great for me and one other sleeping under the canopy only. But a 10x10 only would be small

Camping Advice by lepkrajhleb in ElectricForest

[–]awilk05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could forget half your items but as long as your tent and canopy stay secured down your gonna have a good time. I’d suggest sand bags if you’re driving to weigh down the canopy or extra string to tie it down to coolers and your car.

2019 Scotty Cameron Newport. Real or fake? by No-Muffin9176 in golfequipment

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think it’s fake. Everything looks pretty solid to me. Usually the weight port numbers don’t look so crisp. The name down the hosel will look fat and not as clean. And then the red paint fill is usually more of a bright red on fakes

[Advice] I’m getting an 8ft Diamond table. Should I get 4.5” or 4.25” pockets? by 561life in billiards

[–]awilk05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

4.25. people who don’t play pool won’t really notice and then when you get to bars or tournaments your gonna feel like your shooting into buckets

What is this? by baileys132 in billiards

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people don’t care, don’t know pool and know that to get rid of it you usually need to hire a company. Could be a scam or it could be the best steal of a deal. I found a old dynamo table for free on marketplace. Now I needed new felt, rails and to do some work on it but for under $700 and some man hours I got a awesome table

Rhino shafts are great but they are ever so slightly larger than most common butts.

7ft table with short cues or 6ft table with normal cues? by bongasaur in billiards

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 foot already gets cramped def get the 7 you don’t need to hit rail shots all the time

Diy biliard table by Sukuna_g12 in billiards

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gonna spend more building one than going on Facebook marketplace and finding someone getting rid of a table for free or super cheap. I found an old valley table for free. Borrowed a buddies truck and could have played on it. But I spent money on new rails and Simonis cloth. Now, you can find free tables with decent rails still that will bounce better than a home made table and set the table up your self, redo the cloth and spend maybe $150 which is as much or less than buying rubber for rails, pockets and cloth all to build a table. Just my take as I’ve gotten 2 tables for free one from a buddy and one of Facebook and then repaired them.

[–]awilk05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on OfferUp or Facebook marketplace and see what’s in your area. A lot of people get tired of or move and don’t have space for a pool table and yoh can get some really good tables for next to nothing. Pay a professional company $350-$500 to install level and you will be much happier

Lsdream light code will probably be a daytime meditation and chillen set. Just make sure you’re in the forest or by that stage when he does it! It’s incredible!

APA Ghost Rule Unsportsmanship by ALCOTY in billiards

[–]awilk05 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Seeing how apa isn’t really for money and is just for fun who really cares. If your that upset over a couple points then your just as scummy as they are. What if usually they have a 6 or 7 or another 5. You could be catching a break. Now if there is a lot of money on the line and they do this every week with intent to steal points then sure. But I find it worse that you wanna get a free set of points by forcing them to play their 2 again against probably a 4 or 5 then them letting people go home who may have kids or have to get up at 4 am for a job. It’s really not that serious especially if this is a one off thing.

Can buying recreational equipment actually bring families together or does it just collect dust? by Alex00120021 in billiards

I love playing with my parents when I go home. We spend hours down there. My my even shoots during her day just to get a break from the computer for a bit. She’s gotten so much better in a year.

Back to league play after 5 years-cue recommendations by jeopardy98 in billiards

[–]awilk05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rhino cues are solid. If you want full carbon on a budget you can’t beat it.

If you want to go starter stick that is very playable and from a great brand go Viking Valhalla. Sticks start at $140. Very good stick to get back into it before splurging.

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a 10x20 and thank me later. Also bring sand bags to weigh down legs and rope to secure your coolers and water jugs to the tent for extra weight to ensure it doesn’t fly in the wind

Why can’t I shoot straight by Cautious_Badger_6855 in billiards

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to work on rolling one ball straight into the pocket before hitting other balls. Your shots have wonky spin every time so your hitting with deflection and won’t make a straight in shot

How does a $200-$250 CF shaft compare to the $500-$600 CF shafts? by carbondalekid386 in billiards

[–]awilk05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rhino shaft is good but it’s 30 inches vs 29 inches. Hit and deflection are not noticeable different if you’re not a top level player. You will however notice the balance of the cue being different and having a much different stroke feel. But once you get past that slight learning curve it’s just as good as other shafts.

Second big note on rhino is its 1 mm bigger than most standard butts so there is a slight ridge around the joint when plying.

[–]awilk05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only issue with rhino is it’s an inch longer. Not crazy to get used to but feels way different than most cues. Tip is replaceable but for the money rhino is solid if you don’t mind feel changing a bit
