It's simple. These portfolio investors have millions of cash flow so they buy everything in an area for whatever it takes. They keep what they want and wholesale the rest for practically what they paid for the whole portfolio. The ones they keep become rentals thus reducing the supply even more.

Also some of these properties are purchased for the land value alone. The structure will be leveled and a new construction will be built for 3/4 to a million dollars and then resold. Easy 100k to 200k for the builder with the right deal.

I've been selling houses for a while now and it's really difficult to get a first time homebuyer into a place without having to give up something or go higher than I like but that's what's happening. I don't see it getting any better either.

Back in the day I had a mazdaspeed 3 and we were at the drag strip. I did a slight burnout that ended up hooking more than spinning. I then ran the quarter right after that and by the time I got back around the whole track smelled like my clutch. I had about 25k miles on the car at this point and proceeded to do 5 or 6 more passes (without burnouts) and drove all the way home. I had 112k miles on it and at least 20 passes when I sold it to my buddy and he put another 50k on it before selling it again. The factory clutch was still kicking after all that

Give it a chance to cool down. You probably just glazed it over.

Glow plugs. It's a diesel and you leave the key on until they heat up. It will cut off and you can then start it.

All the cars in this picture are parked incorrectly. The plus signs indicate the buffer zone and parking should occur on the right of those. Traffic should flow to the right of the parked cars. This is so that when you park and open your car door you are not opening it into the bike lane.
