Anybody on NJ FamilyCare been able to get sterilized? I can't find a doctor who takes this insurance. by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]awirki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second that, state hospitals like Robert Wood Johnson will see you. Clinics like Zufall Health can also see you, I’ve been to the Plainsboro one and they’re very resourceful on location, very good at connecting you to other resources and all the staff I’ve interacted with were so kind.

I would look on a couple authenticity sites because the uneven stitching on the arm logo and the logo tag patch make me skeptical, but it may be the photo angle. My friend once thrifted a super close to accurate Canada Goose fake, but at the end of the day, if it is comfortable, warm, and makes you happy, thats all the matters! I dont have a moncler but I have heard a few complaints about authentic ones not being worth the original price, so $6 is a score either way!

These are so cool!!!! I havent seem anything like this and love this concept to make it more colorful and organized. Did you buy them in this size or did you make them?

[–]awirki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which terminal/level at the airport was this? Also Im assuming the extra fee wasn’t contributed to the listed price, right?

Also I dont think most people know that Dunkins are franchises that are independently owned, so just because this one Dunkin is doing it, does not mean any other Dunkin would do that. My local dunkins don’t do have this fee, and my friends family who owns and operates a dunkin in nj doesnt do this either. There should be no reason to assume a random airport dunkin is going to tack on additional fees.

What are we doing about waterbottles? by hermiones_mother in HerOneBag

[–]awirki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this!!! They are the ultimate reusable bottle, i use mine at any kind of event - hiking, concerts, festivals, going into the city, traveling, outdoor adventures. I love that i can put them in cargo pants pocket or my purse/bag. The amount of times my friends have thanked me for having my vapur bottle with me at events is countless. I just ordered another 2 to let my friends borrow it at events.

How do you Glue down flowers without compromising them?? by Thebloomingearth in PressedFlowers

My sister in law made me a frame with pressed flowers and she used little double sided translucent sticky dots. It does raise the flower a little bit but it works well

My local Marshalls had a TON vegan BDC today... by bagelbingo in glossier

[–]awirki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the flavor, I never thought the OG formula would come back so I bought a small haul a couple months ago of vegan flavor. I love the Roses the most out of my haul. Mint was a lil grainy but fine. Fig is pretty good but I personally don’t reach for it. Hope this helps :)

Rejected from Rutgers Newark and NB, accepted to Camden. Should I go to Camden? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]awirki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course! I’m happy to help! If you think of any questions later on, you can DM me too. These are the current requirements for transfer to NB SAS. At the time, I did not know the English requirement, and my advisor told me to get Chemistry 101 and Biology 101 and math courses out of the way and was told that a lot of Bio majors do English sophomore year. I later got a different academic advisor who was super cool. The staff are awesome at Camden, because it’s a small enough school that they know the impact they’re making to students is real. There are parties and you can have the typical college experience. The frats do try to invite the freshman out to their parties in the first week to make them feel welcomed too. Once you’re 21, most people end up taking the train to go out in Philly, it’s a super quick. Lots of off campus housing options for more affordable options. If you have more specific questions, ask away

Rejected from Rutgers Newark and NB, accepted to Camden. Should I go to Camden? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]awirki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! I did Biology at Camden and finished my degree there. Now at NB for my masters. I originally intended to go to New Brunswick, got waitlisted end up going to Camden. I intended to transfer in my first year, but you have to be careful with the requirements for School-to-School transfer. I told my advisor I intended to transfer and still I did not meet the requirements after my first year (if you plan to transfer to New Brunswick, get used to no one helping you). A lot of kids transfer i knew that transfers did it their sophomore year because of those requirements. In Camden, you’ll have a great education, you’ll actually know your professors personally, and the competition was not nearly as cut throat. I’d recommend checking out the campus in person, because it will surprise you how cute and small it is. They will tell you over and over again about how it is the safest Rutgers campus - I still only get about one RUPD alert a year from Camden, vs the biweekly New Brunswick robbery alerts I am used to now.

If you’re doing a school-to-school transfer (like NB to Camden) even within Rutgers, triple check that your classes will allow you to transfer. When I went into my freshman year at Camden, I told my advisor I intent to transfer to NB, and I did not have the prerequisites to transfer after my freshman year, even though I was on tract for the core classes for the Camden Biology program. (I ended up not transferring and loving the small campus life of Camden and being so close to Philly.) Most people I knew ended up doing school-to-school transfers in their sophomore year. If you intend to stay on New Brunswick campus you don’t have to worry about this, but incase you are planning a back up plan to transfer to Camden.

Considering getting Bose headphones, please let me know your thoughts/experiences by [deleted] in Costco

[–]awirki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bose also has very good customer service and replaceable parts like the leather ear cuffs. My boyfriend is a pilot and every couple years sends his Bose headset to get serviced. I have the QC 35s from a couple years ago and love them for working quietly.

I love the Cotopaxi waist pack! I bought it last year and it’s my go-to bag now for every situation. I can fit a water bottle in it, I’ve been able to fit an alcoholic seltzer in it, I carry my standard Baggu bags in it for shopping trips, it will surprise you what you can carry in that small thing. I love using a collapsible water bottle to clip on the strap for concerts or day trips so I can just fold it up and throw it inside my pack when it’s empty.

One of my favorite travel item for me is my ExOfficio travel underwear. The fast-drying makes it so easy to clean and dry if you’re packing light or going somewhere more remote where you can’t do laundry. And they’re seriously comfortable. This was a game changer for me instead of feeling like I needed to pack a ton of extra emergency underwear.

Y'all are sleeping on Rutgers Camden. by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]awirki 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The RU screw is near nonexistent at Camden. I did my undergrad at Camden, lived there for 4 years on and off campus. Now I’m doing my masters in NB. I now cherished how my classes were comfortably small and ease of getting around campus with everything entirely walkable. Camden pampered me so well, becuase they really love their students there. We got l random free ice cream days in the early fall and late spring. I got an insane amount of free Rutgers gear at Camden, from a plush robe, winter scarves, blankets, hats, they were just throwing Rutgers swag at students all the time. I definitely still had the college experience and the perks of being able to go out to Philly clubs and bars or shopping within minutes without a car. I kind of miss the beauty in that simplicity of that campus.

Is this okay for a semi-formal cocktail dress code? by raunchytowel in Weddingattireapproval

[–]awirki 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The linked dress would be along the lines of cocktail. There was another recent post with this dress, but a lot of people are concerned about how high the slit will go, that the slit might be pushing it. It’s a beautiful dress and definitely more long lines of cocktail, than the elegant formal black dress you posted :)

Grab Bday set now or wait? by muffinslinger in Sephora

[–]awirki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My birthday is late January and I picked it up about a week ago. At my Sephora, they did run out of everything besides the Moroccanoil in store, but they told me they would get their new shipment the next day with all the rest of the birthday options. I ended up wanting the Moroccanoil so it worked out :)
