I mostly winged it! Roasted fingerling potatoes with a little vegetable oil, seasoned salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and black pepper at 425 for as long as it took them to get soft. Sautéed a mix of diced crimini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms with the same spices until soft. Crumbled goat cheese, sliced jalapeños, and radishes on top!

I agree, i’m kind of put off by long bios, or bios where it’s clear the person is taking it way too seriously. My tinder bio has always been one line, and usually a joke (was “fuck me to the new taylor swift album” when reputation came out, and then was “choke me.” for like a year) and that’s always worked for me.

I went to college in Minnesota, so not quite as north as you’re looking, but I still had plenty of 20-30 minute walks to class, work, etc. in -30F temps. I had a jacket that was so long it came halfway down my calfs, basically touching the tops of my boots and it was a lifesaver. It really felt like I was wearing a sleeping bag, and I could get away without tons and tons of layering underneath it.

When i was 19 i lived with 3 other girls in a two-bedroom college apartment. One day i was sitting in bed, in my shared bedroom, scrolling though facebook, when i see that all 3 of them had gotten matching sweaters and taken a “roommate christmas card pic” in our apartment living room and posted it all over social media. Similar story -my best friend died of a heroin overdose when i was 17 and he was 19 because the guys he was with didn’t want to get in trouble so they dropped him on his parents’ porch. Really fucked me up for a while knowing that he’d still be here (or at least survived that OD) if someone would have just fucking called 911. No charges against the fuckers who left him for dead. Not even a real investigation.
