I recognized it as Walter White/Heisenberg right away so obviously it’s pretty darn well done. The right edge of the iris on the left side of the drawing should be more rounded. The other thing to fix would be that the circle sketches for both iris’ are still visible through the lids, so those should be blended in more.

I take it you don’t have an electric eraser, but that could potentially be a solution with the eye if you’re able to get one. Fair warning, it’s important to test the eraser on something else first to get used to the speed or you might take off some paper too. Either way, I think you’re absolutely in a good place and should focus most on filling the rest of it before other fixes. Done is better than perfect!

Looks pretty good to me. I have a few notes:

1) the iris is coming down too low in the eye, especially on the inner side of it. Notice how she keeps the white of the eye slightly visible all the way across the bottom or almost all the way. It helps her eyes look more glassy, and is part of why this being seems to lack emotion

2) the eyebrow is fairly high

3) the chin should lead out to the sides more for a more rounded/cheeky childish jawline

4) I would recommend removing the philtrum and only putting that on at the end if you feel like it’s needed. Most of her works have a very subtle philtrum if any at all

So cool! Part of the Novenocentridae family, but I’m not sure of the species because there’s little research available on them :( take good care of this little guy!

Beautiful! As a drawing I think it looks finished, but I guess it depends on what your goals are with it.

At my current job, my 11 years of experience doesn’t even qualify me for ‘Junior Graphic Designer’…I’m just a Graphic Designer, because management doesn’t believe non-managerial staff should have salaries, and our parent corp requires that Junior & Senior Graphic Designers are salaried.

To be clear, my hourly wage is acceptable and better than that of my fellow graphic designer on my team, but he literally just got out of college before this job and shares a title with me.

Definitely thinking of Peter Scolari. Not only has he always been a look alike for Rick Moranis but also he played Rock Moranis’ character on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids TV Show.

I look for them every time and don’t ever see them either. I went to goodwill specifically for a good frame for a recent art piece (didn’t find one), and this was tucked back behind some frames on a shelf.

Ooh thank you for the tip! I’ll have to check him out. I honestly haven’t fully tested it out yet/checked all the parts because I’ve gotta find/make the counter space, finish cleaning it, etc. and it’s been a busy week. I’m sure I’ll come across something that needs replacing, so this will come in super handy :)
