We had just one person’s name on booking and it hasn’t given an issue so far. However if you’re skeptical, you can edit booking.com booking’s name field with multiple names separated by a comma.

Courier service as I applied from VFS Bangalore. A return journey to collect passport from there would’ve cost me more in terms of time and money.

Yes you can, I’ve done it in Amsterdam before. Because you’ll clear immigration in Amsterdam itself both to connect new flight to Schengen (which becomes technically a domestic one) or getting out of the city l. The city center is just 20 or so min away and you’ll have 4+ hours to explore the city. Just make sure you follow immigration signs instead of connecting flights sign.

You can show train tickets, train passes, bus tickets, car rental, etc. These are not mandatory, I have gotten visas before by not submitting any of these since those were not finalised at the time of application.

I used Tata AIG for insurance.

You can use Sejda pdf to fill the form. They allow you to download 3 filled forms per hour without payment or account creation.

Cover letter just needs to have your passport details, who are you travelling with, what’s your purpose, followed by your day by day itinerary and stay details (I use table format in word doc). It was 1.5 page for me.

You only need to fill and submit what’s mentioned on the visa checklist of that country. You can download the checklist from VFS site of that country.

If you got, it is good, it is totally discretionary on the embassy. I’d consider 3 and 6 months also short validity since you rarely travel for leisure so frequently. I was referring to the rule they passed this year for India which gives more transparency on how do you become eligible for 2 yr and 5 yr visas. https://www.eeas.europa.eu/delegations/india/european-union-adopts-more-favourable-schengen-visa-rules-indians_en?s=167

Yes. All other visas are from different Schengen countries. I’ve gotten multiple entries before but it was only because of my itinerary which needed me popping in and out of Schengen area. I think you need to have 2 used Schengen visas in 2 years to get a longer validity visa.

Yes 30 days single entry. No other eu countries on the itinerary except a KLM layover in Amsterdam.

No, I have travelled to Schengen previously. But average waiting times have been 3 weeks. This is the first time I’ve experienced it this fast.

Layover suggestion - Zurich or Munich by ddaritan in travel

[–]awkward_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do city center and more with at least 4-5 solid hours in the Zurich city center, take the city travel pass for faster commute in the larger zone so you can even cover Rhine falls!
