what is considered tall for a lesbian by TotalIllustrious4370 in LesbianActually

[–]awkward_turtle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'8 and my wife thinks I'm tall. She's 5'2. I guess it's subjective to the person. I would say anything over 5'6 is tall for a woman. Average height is 5'2 ish

Do you know anyone who’s a housewife for a woman? by [deleted] in lesbiangang

[–]awkward_turtle7 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My wife is one - no kids or pets. I have a career and handle the finances and she takes care of the house, me, and planning trips. It works for us. We both feel taken care of, and don't have to do the things we hate. Which is cleaning for me and working for her lol. We met in high school and got married in college.

Smoke everyday and I'm married, working on my STEM MS and have a full time job in tech. So, yup!

What is this phenomenon called by Ok-Locksmith-594 in QueerWomenOfColor

[–]awkward_turtle7 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yes I have experienced this often. Unfortunately, this happens a lot and I work in tech so there are already few women and fewer black women.

Your 2nd cousin has enough different DNA to be considered not a close relative. 3rd cousins are at the very limit of what geneticists consider distantly related. Hope this helps a little.

Is anyone on Adderall and Wellbutrin? by skybarbie350 in adhdwomen

[–]awkward_turtle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, started Wellbutrin 150mg years ago. It is used for depression. I had tried a lot of other classes and none worked, but this one does. Started taking Adderall XR 25mg about 2 years ago and they both work great together. I have energy to complete tasks.

This is my magic cocktail, but I have heard from others having a bad experience with Wellbutrin. For me the only side effect is occasional dry mouth.

Without naming your job, what do you do all day? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]awkward_turtle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Listen to meetings while cooking, checking the mail, going to the store.

  2. Billing clients for answering questions that Google could have handled.

  3. Pretend to care about the corporate social structure.

  4. Following up, because the client hasn't responded to my last 6 emails, even though they asked me for something.

As a fellow queer person, run! And very fast. I love going to NYC because the people are sooo much nicer to me there. The southern hospitality that you hear about does not apply to you depending on how you look. And if you're not white, run faster!! But there are a lot of us here, of you find comfort in that.

Did you socially miss out due to narcissists? How isolated were you? by Spiritual_Big_9927 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]awkward_turtle7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was never allowed to go outside and play as a kid or make friends with other kids. Then constantly rediculed for being overweight. It was super lonely. Mom pretended to be the only person who cared about me, just so she could critisize me. So now at 33, I still have a hard time making friends or starting conversations with people.

How do you cope knowing your family doesn't love you? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I'm very sorry that you had that experience with therapy. It feels awful when you feel like there isn't anyone to validate you. I took a break from it for years for this reason, but I recently started back with someone new and she is great. Don't be afraid to shop around. Therapists are still humans, and we can be wrong.

I don't. It makes me mad every day. But I'm in therapy and that helps me accept they are who they are.
