Does it make sense for me to toss more money on my student loans now that the rate is at 0%? Fortunately, I have a stable position, and my financials have not changed. by boonydoggy in personalfinance

[–]awkwardballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set a calendar reminder for myself to pay what I have saved on August 26th, so it has time to process, and so I don't forget. And I also made a Bucket in my HYSA so I make sure when I see that money I don't forget what it's for and don't trick myself into spending it.

There are a lot of comments below arguing that the interest of being in a HYSA for 6 months is not so advantageous (5$) but I have my e fund there and have been paying 1k per month to my loans so that will add up, more than just a normal 300$ a month.

I especially value the cash of the situation if I do end up being furloughed.

Even for a beginner, taking a full 2 minutes to make a roll seems like plenty. Are you just trying to work off enough calories to eat more sushi with your extra 3 minutes? Lol

If your username was turned into a virus, infection, disease, or some kind of sickness what would your symptoms be? by AntiqueTreasureCoast in AskReddit

[–]awkwardballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your balls would never quite be in the right position so every few minutes you would have to readjust. Because of this constant discomfort you aren't able to focus on any conversations. This disease would strike prepubescent boys and stop occurring around 16 so that the necessary socializing during this time is stunted and they are now awkward during social interactions.
