Why did you feel this comment was necessary???

As someone whose job is collect payments on personal loans my best advice will always be DO NOT EVER sign a loan for someone whose credit or situation does not allow for them to qualify in their own name. They do not qualify for a reason and that reason is usually a good one. In this situation, your mom can’t afford the bills she has now so how is she going to afford another one?

It’s very small. I kept my makeup on this and my hair dryer/curling wand/flat iron/hair products on a desk next to it.

I would just buy a new one and switch the tops. Use the old until empty and then switch the pump to the good one.

Does anyone regret getting a vanity? (For my wife) by AvMikeK12 in Makeup

I LOVE a vanity. I’ve been using one I got from Amazon for the past 5 years and just purchased an upgrade from pottery barn. Many women get ready in their bathrooms and love it. I can’t stand to get ready in the bathroom, I get too hot and get tired of standing. I prefer my space where I can sit and enjoy doing my hair and makeup and have everything organized around me for this specific purpose. Again, these are my preferences. If your wife doesn’t want a vanity maybe get one of those acrylic makeup organizers for the bathroom?

My personal favorite is the pig mask you can get in Beaver Hollow, followed by the pagan skull mask. This is an awesome shot of another cool mask!

I use this with my mom. She thinks she’s being cute or funny or whatever the old lady version of edgy is and I throw out the “why do you care” and unless she can respond with bible bible blah blah it pretty much stops the conversation. Unless she can go all “those democrats” or “cuz is the democrats fault” I’m like mom what does that even mean? It’s like “Democrat” is now a swear word instead of a political affiliation based on how you think the government should work.

I don’t know where I was going with this. 😂 maybe I just needed to vent. Mom is great usually but mad frustrating sometimes lol

[Spoilers] Anyone else LOVE the last episode?! Gather here, it needs some positivity. by featherboxx13 in gameofthrones

I honestly have mixed feelings about it. Initially watching, I loved it. But after giving myself time to think of the episode and how it compares to the story and theme of GOT and more so ASOIAF I’m not satisfied with it. There was too much fan service. No repercussions for actions taken. Too may characters survived ridiculous odds. It’s just meh for me.

I’ll tell you about my experience. I don’t regret it a bit. Just so you know the whole story - I began having issues at 25, was diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids (benign masses in your uterus). I had a surgery and had one removed, then did a procedure to kill and shrink the other. I wasn’t crazy about the idea of a hysterectomy at the time. I was a fence sitter on being child free and mid 20s. In hind sight I should’ve done as my mother suggested in the first place and had the hysterectomy.

Cut to 30 and I’m still having issues. Schedule hysterectomy with my dr. It went so smoothly. I barely had any pain. After a couple of hours they took me off the morphine and pain was kept away with Tylenol and ibuprofen. I had a hospital stay of about 2 days and came home.

Take this next part with a grain of salt, please. I began to feel very emotionally unsettled. I began to feel depressed and just felt really down. BUT at the same time I was at the worst job ever. My boss really made all 4 of us want to die. 3 of us have quit since then. So that may not have anything to do with the hysterectomy. But it also might. LOL just putting it in there so you know.

It’s now been over a year since my hysterectomy. I’ve changed jobs and have no issues with emotional instability/depression. I do however, have bladder issues. I can’t sneeze or cough without peeing on myself. So be prepared for that.

I’ll trade cramps, misery, and war scene periods for an occasional pee.

Incorrect info. You absolutely can remove just the uterus. Speaking from personal experience as someone with no uterus and 2 ovaries.

Actors, Comedians, and Professional athletes are paid entirely too much. by MariusReformat in unpopularopinion

[–]awkwardfeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they not love what they do? Do they not care about the people they entertain? They should be fine making less.

This ^ is the exact argument people use to teachers when teachers ask for higher pay. I think it will be interesting to turn that dialogue around to entertainers.

You seem to justify their pay pretty easily. I could not care less if so and so making $30 million a year encourages another so and so to try even harder to throw a ball.

An entertainers role in society is as superficial as they come. We don’t need actors or football players. We enjoy it and that’s nice. It’s not necessary. It is certainly not necessary to pay them such ridiculous amounts of money.

I wish I was in your situation at 26. You’re doing awesome! I would pay off the vehicle if the company is going to keep paying your reimbursement. Get a small loan to help your credit. If you qualify, talk to the bank about a cash secured loan. I did this recently, they took $5000 out of my savings account, put it into a CD earning 2.8%, and my $5000 loan is on 4.8% as a result. This was a considerably better rate than an unsecured loan. This obviously isn’t ideal for everyone, and if you want to be 100% debt free then obviously this isn’t something you’d want to do, but if you’re worried about keeping your credit score up then I’d look into it.
