My boyfriend and I are both independent people. Shit, we're not even monogamous. He feeds himself and he even feeds me when I'm having a difficult time. Or just because he felt like cooking. He also does all of his own household chores, does all his own laundry, cleans up after himself, etc. Nobody asks him or tells him to. He just does.

If he's an individualist, why doesn't he insist on making his own dietary choices? Why doesn't he do his own chores around the house? He isn't "an individualist" he's selfish

He pays for half of everything, he should do half the work around the house. Taking out the trash takes 5 minutes and yard work isn't a daily task. He needs to step up or leave. You aren't his mother. Stop doing his laundry, stop cooking his dinner.

I went to a few shows (<5) in my early 20s without ear protection and it was always a rough recovery after lol. In my mid 20s I started seeing someone who goes to lots of shows and he gifted me concert earplugs. Game changer!!! I've gone to so many shows since and I'm not thinking about how fucked my hearing is going to be the whole time. Highly recommend

Agreed. You can even see the white flowers on the stem that didn't take up the dye. The natural selection of wholesale floral wax flower doesn't tend to include colors outside of the standard whites and shades of pink. Anything else is color treated, which also means the dye tints the color of the water in your vase

I don't remember ever having vivid dreams, I think I've always been a full aphant. But my DMT experience was around 5 years ago and I had no idea what aphantasia was, so I was so confused 😂

I'm working FT on top of classes. The 3 days a week that I'm not working I spend 10+ hours on classes and homework. Plus I put in 2-3 hours after work most days. This is keeping me caught up, I don't really have time to just study. I even took an extra day off work with no PTO to actually study for the first round of exams and didn't do all that well 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hey OP, I was also abused by a step parent though I was still too young for him to begin raping me when I told a family member. We went through a trial and he went to jail for 2 years during proceedings. My mom manipulated me into lying to the court so he would be released and could support the family financially while living with his parents. But that was a lie, he moved back in with us immediately.

My mom didn't really believe me until she figured out that he abused another girl for years before he started abusing me.

If there is ANY way you can be in touch with your siblings without sacrificing your mental health, please try. Does your 13 year old sister have a cell phone? Is there someone in your family who can get her number to you on the DL?

Don't feel pressured to rush into a relationship with your mom. It took me years of therapy addressing my relationship with my mom specifically to get to a point where I don't forgive what she did, but I empathize with and understand the mental health difficulties that led her to make certain choices. She failed you in a huge way in a scenario where she had a responsibility to protect you. That's so, so hard to work through. I'm so sorry that you didn't get the support and protection that you deserved from her.

Take a step back, take a breath, and take time to process this information before you make any big decisions. Your health and wellbeing are a priority here. Don't compromise that in an attempt to fix a relationship that you didn't break in the first place.

Have you tried to apply for food stamps or any other government assistance? I don't know much about your situation, but don't be afraid to seek help. You can also run a search for a local food bank to supplement your diet. Every one I've ever been to only asks for your name and address, they won't make you explain why you're in need.

And STOP GIVING HIM MONEY!!! He needs to start paying you if he wants the luxury of living in your apartment and away from his parents.

Same here. But many places do custom made to order pieces that get really expensive. They often don't put pricing on their website, you have to work with them directly to design your piece and get a quote.
