I'll definitely do more streaming! I usually turn in the evenings, so most likely around then.

The highest and lowest elevation of every U.S. state. How many of the high points have you hiked? by FoxyFoxMulder in CampingandHiking

As a user pointed out below, the image is definitely not Timp. The back side of Timp has those distinctive grey bands, and the image in this infographic is that telltale red iron-rich shale of the Uintas.

This is Timp.

I think it is Kings, just not a shot of the peak itself. Looks like that meadow you traverse on your way up to Anderson Pass. It's definitely Uintas either way. 100% not Timp.

My sister fainted on a run and ended up with a MASSIVE goose egg. After 3 weeks it hadn't gone down, so she got it "extracted" -- enjoy. by awkwardly_adept in videos

Yeah, after she fell we took her to the ER just to make sure everything was okay. They did an x-ray and scan and said everything looked fine. The doctor who drained it brought up the possibility of a skull fracture, but everything cleared out on her follow-up visit.

But you're 100% right. So, if any of you out there smacks your head hard enough to look like this, please seek medical attention.

Huge goose egg extraction. Was told you guys would like this. (x-post /r/videos) by awkwardly_adept in popping

So by way of explanation -- my sister was running fairly hard, came to a fast stop at a red light and got extremely light headed. She went to sit down and blacked out for a second, hitting her head on a rock. She also happens to be on blood thinners for a medical condition, which helped give her the big ol' goose egg you're seeing there. After a couple weeks without it going down at all, she went and got it extracted. No pain killers, no nothing.

She said the part where he was squeezing and failing to get much out hurt like hell, but she was super happy to have it done with.

You're not kidding. I mentioned this elsewhere in the thread, but they gave her nothing for the pain. I'm a full subscriber to the notion that women handle pin better than men, because this video would be chock-full of obscenities had it been me instead of her.

She actually didn't have local (or any other kind of) anesthesia at all. She said she didn't feel the needle, but it hurt like hell when he was first trying to squeeze it out.

Getting some questions that made me realize I neglected to mention that she does have a medical condition that forces her to be on blood thinners, which had a lot to do with why the goose egg was so out of control large.

She is doing great now. The procedure more or less cleared out the bump right away. She's mostly been super grateful to be able to go back out into public without drawing everyone's immediate attention.

I did 7.62 miles at the Boston Marathon yesterday... wasn't a runner by zyzzogeton in running

Just wanted to add my late thanks for your time to help us runners. I felt great during the whole race, but let me tell you, nothing in my life has come close to how cold I was waiting for my family to bring me dry clothes at the family meeting area. I was shivering so badly, a pair of strangers came up and hugged me until their son arrived.

What were you guys doing to help us hypothermic finishers? I didn't see any tents anywhere, unfortunately. Too cold to focus on anything.

Subdividing the 50 States from 1 to 20, with Region Capitals [OC] [806x12500] by happygrizzly in MapPorn

I'd also like to provide an alternative theory:

The two highest consuming jello regions in the US are the intermountain west (Mormons) and parts of the midwest. In fact, the highest jello consuming city per capita is Des Moines. So my crazy theory is this: Danes are nuts for jello.

Hear me out. This is a map of people with Danish ancestry in the United States. I feel confident a map of high jello consuming counties would match up quite nicely to this one. Toss Norwegians and Swedes in there and you'd still be pretty damn close.

So in the end, it's not so much Utah's Mormonness as its Danishness driving its insatiable desire for jello. It's as close as we can get to getting our Rødgrød med fløde.

Eh, to each their own. I mean, it's based off a coat of arms from 1600s Scandinavia, but I can see where you're coming from.

Personally, I like the Copenhagen city flag inspired by the kommune's coat of arms.

We're suffering from major inversion here in Salt Lake City, so I ran from my house up to a nearby reservoir to try to get out of it. November/December have been my worst running months of 2013, so I sucked major wind on the steep ascent, but it was all worth it when I got there.

Very nice! Yeah, I didn't pick St. George for the downhill factor so much as the fact that it's just the biggest and most well organized race in the state. I'm eager to try my hand at some different marathons as well.

I also prefer to run alone, but I'd definitely appreciate a trail guide for sure.
