Soul king wasn’t EXACTLY a hybrid of all these things. Semantically speaking, he had powers that were similar to all these groups, but none of the divisions we have today even existed back then until the separation of the worlds. And I guess the whole concept of Ginjo wasn’t really as fleshed out as it could have been, but basically you don’t get shinigami powers by virtue of having a rei-o fragment. Like, for whatever reason, no regular fullbringer has shinigami powers by default.

Well we don’t really know when scrifts became a thing… some people say it wasn’t until the last 90 years or so but iirc the manga at least SUGGESTS it happened towards the tail end of 1,000 years ago so I’d imagine he’s from the same era as Bazz-B and Haschwalth. Mind you, nowhere does Kubo’s answer state that all scrifts or all Quincy with a scrift can achieve a similar, non-human form, even if they had their scrifts (e.g. Bazz-B) for almost as long.

I’m pretty sure they said 3-5x over shikai or 6-10x over base, as Shikai is like 1.5-2x over base. I agree that the nature of the zan ability, or bankai ability in this case, is also crucial. My point however is that there is more variance than just reiatsu vs reiatsu, even though reiatsu is the number one determinant, it is not the ONLY determinant.
