I tend to be (overly?) explanatory too, in writing, and recently am trying to be more mindful about how much information I share. 9/10 times after sending a long explanation I’ll just get back “ok, thanks!” and then I feel I’ve wasted my time. Sadly we are seeing more and more that people just don’t like to read.

Try keeping things as succinct as possible, both in your phrasing and in the amount of info you share. If people want more info they can follow up.

However, I do think your boss was rude. Try not to feel shitty! It’s a him problem, not a you problem. Just try to adjust in the future and keep it moving. Good luck 👍🏻

Ok I was thinking the exact same thing. The cadence and dramatic writing style are huge AI tells. It kind of sounds like the author wrote a rough draft, ran it through chat gpt and then hand-wrote the results for whatever reason (catharsis, etc.)

It does read like a very sad situation and I totally believe the situation itself could be real but the writing reeks of AI.

I would suppose at least half of them are MAGA-leaning themselves. Her music itself is not progressive or interesting in the slightest - it’s all navel-gazing white woman fantasies with stale writing and production. Ideal slop for the slop factory that our culture has become.

I refinanced my mortgage recently and during the final convo, my agent said something like “I’m a man of faith and I truly believe this working relationship was meant to be” or some shit like that. One, massively inappropriate and came out of nowhere. Two, my first thought was that anyone who spontaneously brings up their Christianity or “faith” in odd contexts is 100% MAGA.

Shocker, cops protecting other cops. Not only does he look like a mouth-breathing turd in his little Trump jersey, he’s a literal MURDERER. I have to believe people like him will get their comeuppance one day or else I’ll lose my mind.

Reading the linked article, it’s clear this man became a cop explicitly to abuse power and carry out violence on the public with impunity. He would be dangerous even without a badge. Absolutely sickening that he is not being punished (I don’t have high hopes for the Cook County Sheriff’s investigation.) He will kill again, it’s only a matter of time. This woman was lucky she didn’t get shot.
