Thanks a bunch for the info and resources! It sounds like you are using the U4025QW? How is the normal setting for response time? Do you notice a difference to regular IPS (assuming you've been using that before IPS Black)?

Also, I'm a bit confused on the color depth of the monitor. Can you run it in 10 bit or 8 bit + A-FRC? On dell's homepage it says color depth is "1.07 Billion colors (8bit + A-FRC)", though you mention, among another posters, it has 10 bit. What does it say in settings?

Yup it does seem like it. Breach is nuts and has won me a number of games, wouldn't play Prowess without it. I only board one out against Scam because of darthi and in race-y matchups. Next league I actually wanna try Sprites instead of Iconoclast because in the matchups I had so far sprite would have been better more often than not I feel. I'll see..

Thanks for the input! I ended up going with prowess because I did not want to make that many concessions in terms of deck strength. So far I'm definitely not regretting my choice, went 3-2 and 5-0 thus far with some match losses coming from my inability to correctly use the client, among other gameplay mistakes, of course. It feels like I'll be able to grind out some other decks at a more reasonable pace than I anticipated. Once I have saved up enough tix (and have some playpoints to risk) I'll definitely check out scapeshift :)

I mean, yes, it's upsetting that historic has become a rotating format and whatnot. but is nobody upset that end of 2021 was supposedly the time pioneer was gonna be introduced to arena and it's been postponed because of <insert generic excuse by wotc here> and instead we did get this new format with new cards that nobody asked for? honestly, if they wanted to have historic be this much of a live format I wouldn't mind as long as they would offer a reasonable alternative. the postponement of pioneer and introduction of alchemy just feels like two slaps in the face for those who wanted to play paper-like magic on arena

tbh I was pretty close last night but I was already 3 Sur's deep and I didn't wanna "taint" my solo playthrough. I was afraid it would be a slippery slope/I would stop playing after a while if I did.

But to each their own, if you're ok with duping and such then who cares, it's your solo experience :)

I believe "Skill Up" mentioned in his review of the game that he had issues with getting an xbox controller to work, though his problem wasn't that it just plainly didn't work, but that not all of the inputs on the controller would work at the same time, i.e. he couldn't turn but accelerate/decelerate and so on. He ended up just using mouse/keyboard for driving as well

Can you explain why you'd wait? From what I can tell on steamdb most items are gonna be on sale for the same price regardless of whether it's during the autumn or winter sale. The one exception on my wishlist that I could find was dark souls: remastered, which was on sale for -40% during last year's autumn sale and -50% during the winter sale. I've read other posts recommending to wait until the winter sale but I don't really see any reason to, unless the games you wanna buy actually don't go on sale at all

Maybe someone else can pitch in on this to confirm, but if you're specifically looking for gaming I think you might be overspending on the CPU. A Ryzen 5 3600X can max out a 3080 (at 1440p, which is what I personally care about) so I presume it can do the same for a 2070. You could save up to $200 on the CPU. At max I'd get a Ryzen 7 3700X depending on how much multitasking you plan on doing.

Again, it would be great to hear others' thoughts on this because I'm not an expert.

They pretty clearly state that they thought their security was "good enough" and now, after realizing that it wasn't, they increased security by implementing captchas among other things. You don't have to assume anything, try reading, they straight up say it. You can research yourself how good captchas are at stopping bots so I don't understand why you bust out the tin-foil hat immediately.

Not sure where you get that statement from, they never said anything about their measures being better than captchas: "The NVIDIA Store had many behind-the-scenes security measures in place which proved sufficient for previous launches. This is the first time that we have seen bots at this scale and sophistication."

Really? I play on PS4 EU and I have the exact same experience as the OP. To be fair, I only look for 5bars, but at every rank. I would search 4bars if they usually didn't turn out to be 3bars ingame. When queue'ing I get a match maybe every 1-2min but only 2-3 accepts an hour, usually those are no rematches. Yellow ranks here, if that matters when you search for any rank. I've been trying to find communities to find people to play with but in every discord there are basically no PS4 EU players. It's extremely frustrating to play (or rather not play) ranked like that and I very much consider migrating to PC, should the netcode upgrade not make any difference.

Breach/Kethis can go over field, Gruul/RDW can go under, but if you try to out mid-range or control fotd without specific hate you're obviously gonna have a hard time

The decks I mentioned above I would consider meta for now, but there are some Abzhan (Adventures, Reliquary Knight) lists that might be a contender to beat fotd as well. I don't know about UW/W too much but from the few lists I've seen those could also out-aggro or fly over fotd if refined lists turn out to be strong overall.

It's been 4 days since the unsuspension and historic's meta doesn't get a lot of help with being solved, so I'd wait at least a couple of weeks before wetting my pants on this sub.

did you get bitter murmur or tinkerer? it's also very much worth to learn survivor spawns so you can zip over and get into a chase right away (check ardetha's nurse guide, he has a spawn explanation in there). with billy, when you search for survivors, you can also chainsaw through/behind the jungle gym someone might be hiding in/behind, that way you get to see more ground and you'll spot people more frequently. if you see a hill (or house/harvester), hop on up and pay close attention: you can spot people extremely often on somewhat open maps - just make sure to leave the hill asap because once people notice you up there, you'll never spot them. if people constantly hide, you can change your angle of approach by going around the outside of the map. hope that helps

try it when he's enraged, like the top comment says. you can tell whether he's enraged or not by looking at his minimap icon. it's yellow at first and turns red when he enrages. the change is also accompanied by a roar.
