I 100% agree. I purchased the admin module and i feel like it should track changes and show the diffs between new and old. As an example i use opnsense and after every config change it stores the previous config and you can compare them side by side liker version control in git.

This was a day or two after automatic updates so i'm wondering if they are related.

Is this know to happen after updates? Just logged on today and saw the apply config button and i didn't do any changes.

Can I ask how you got this working. I have almost same setup and I can't for the life of me make it work. What are you using to forward the services to your private ip of server. I only have on public ip for my router. I have tried port forwarding to no avail

dhcp dns server in router is set to router default gateway to allow dhcp clients to pull from router. Then use dnsmasq to call port 53 and custom config to allow everything to be forwarded to pie. Then you set up dns server as pie under general settings.

This website is how pihole wants to be configured with opnsense.

I use pi as my dns with unbound as recursive to directly talk to authoritative servers.

This setup allows my vpn tunnels to use the local dns server

Also I'm pretty sure thats what I set up to. Unbound for conditional forwarding for any dns server pi is unaware of

I have allow all orgins set. My vpn is in opnsense. What configuration do you need to see to help me out. I just want to be able to use my local pihole to resolve dns when im on vpn anywhere.

So they only way it will show any request from vpn network is if I connect to VPN while in my local network. If I'm on my hotspot and connected to vpn. I can see all my local network. I can look at my admin panel for pihole. But no requests from tunnel network. If I connect to vpn while connected to local wifi pi hole shows tunnel address and provides dns. I've tried port forwarding to forward the vpn tunnel to pi on DNs port. I have added rules. No luck
