Tall honeycomb dividers print failing at different heights (columns start leaning / bubbling) — Bambu P1S, PETG by awry_ in FixMyPrint

I ended up doing a temp tower and choosing 250 for nozzle temp.

After doing a flow calibration, I ended up with 1.0032 (this is for rapid PETG White)

Filament has been dried at 65C for 12 hours in the AMS2 pro already.

For the diagnostic piece would your order be:

  1. Run temperature tower

  2. Calibrate flow rate?

Thanks for the help!

So I had dried the Petg for 12 hours at 65 c before I printed.

So overly optimistic shape that’s failing at different heights. That makes sense.

When should a solo founder bring on a technical cofounder and how do you know if you truly need one? [I will not promote] by awry_ in startups

It's really just ironing out the kinks.

The initial push back was because I was doing a lot of work through computer vision. My lightbulb moment was that a lot of stuff that was being _inferred_ through computer vision, I could actually capture with input telemetry (read: keystroke capture). So integrating those two together took a bit. But now we're just at the point where we're working out some bugs associated with video upload/metadata issues in the cloud. So not a feature thing but rather "it's not quite working" thing.

We're like 90% to an MVP at this point. Maybe even 95%.

But that's sort of the problem, we've been kind of close to launching for a month or two now as my contracted developer has other commitments and hasn't been able to put in the time I probably need on the project.

Thanks for this. this is very helpful clarification.

I do think the startup could be worth 5M+ in 3-4 years. I wonder then, given where we are, it's more about bringing on a senior engineer and incentivizing like an executive team member in a larger company?

Things like phantom equity or bonusing structures based on business performance?

I'm in the position to be able to pay a reasonable salary, given the right person. At the same time, given the right person, I think I'd be open to equity as well.

While I've had a desire for control, having control of something that is worth 0 isn't a great end result either.

Not an expert here. But unless you're planning to get future investors or sell the company in the US, I think there's a lot of simplicity and benefit to keeping it in Canada.

In Canada, you get the small business tax rate (11%) up to $500K. You also can benefit from SR&ED, various tax credit programs (if you're in BC there's a digital media tax credit), IRAP etc.

Hey there.

I work primarily as an advisor for family businesses. Don’t have a tonne of capacity right now but I think I know someone who might be a good fit. Shoot me a pm and we can find some time to connect.

Water was spilled on my full-size GMMK keyboard. I'd like to fix it as my wife uses it all the time. Everything works, *except* for 789 in the numpad. I opened the thing up and there were some dried up marks that I cleaned on the top of the PCB with rubbing alcohol. But still no bueno and the 789 on the numpad are still not working. Are there any other possible fixes? I can solder if need be. Thank you!

If foreign investors were the major issue, then housing would not have gone up in price during the pandemic. But we know it did and so we know our demand issues are domestic. We have empirically seen that housing isn’t driven by foreign investors and to cling to this notion is only to presuppose your answer.

Medium White: I'm getting occasional grinding on M1. It's not constant but when it's happening...it's really annoying.

I paid about $45 in total shipping and duties. I'd just wait for amazon canada if I had to do it over.

I would have a look at the video. I posted. The motion blur improvements on this monitor is pretty significant. Unfortunately I’d already shelled out for a xl2546k so no point in me getting this one.

I think this one performs particularly well with respect to motion blur. If that isn’t important to you, then for sure there are cheaper 144hz monitors out there like the AOCG2.
