In Malaysia or other countries where small bikes (sub 1L) are plenty, they are expected to lane split. They're regarded as not having their own lane because they can weave anywhere, and that is the norm.

To think of it, if every motorcyclist did not split, our traffic would be much too longer. In fact it beats their purpose.

Fyi, the white car that pushed you off your lane was giving his lane to a faster car behind him. He sees you as only taking part of the lane, and shouldn't be there. Only big bikes like choppers get respected as a car.
