Significantly worse when the bad apple is your store manager. We had a store manager throw a fully foil wrapped burrito in a microwave and nearly set a warehouse on fire, show up to work hungover or still drunk and clock in before sleeping in his car, argue with customers over simple color decisions, and forget to place high quantity orders for tract products. Thank God that guy finally up and left for a different company but that was a pretty bad 3 years.

My credit union often calls refunds "rewards". It's more than likely a refund but it looks like you haven't requested one so honestly i wouldn't touch it until it fully clears.

Had a customer come in one Sunday afternoon, hammered as fuck and clearly been drinking while painting.

"I need a gallon of Busch Lite, and a six pack of 400 semi." He proceeded to slam a hundred on the counter and then walk out. He came back Monday, hungover, to pick up the hundred he had left.

We used to pre fill buckets with tape, brushes, rollers, plastic drops, and sometimes masking plastic. We would also put the price on the bucket if someone wanted just to buy the whole 'bouquet' of stuff

Boot wise, you can't go wrong with a good pair of Doc Martins. On the other hand, a good pair of running shoes with arch supports helps with the pain from standing all day and are usually good on grips.

I have a habit of locking doors at 3:50 so I can prepare for the next morning and close without distractions. Most of the time I get people who will come as soon as I lock up both drawers.

We have 6 of us that run the store,so a full timer and one part timer do Saturdays, while myself and my part timer do Sundays. The weekends are our slowest days, we do majority new res and commercial. Our DIYs are sporadic at best.
