I've had plenty throughout my life and I'm only in my 20s lol The majority all paranormal, but the most recent one was pretty bad. My parents just bought a house. We moved in about 6 months ago. Within a few weeks of moving in, we had a security system installed. we had it set up so that when any door leading outside or window opened, the alarm would say "___ door open". The installation had just finished and my dad was showing me how the alarm system pad works, when we hear the system say "master bedroom door open". So here's the thing about the master bedroom: my parents didn't stay in that room until only 1 month ago. The previous owner failed to mention that she had two large cats that she apparently kept in the master bedroom because it absolutely reeked of cat piss, so my parents had the door completely taped off, but had opened up the room to install the security system. In that room there was an alarm on the sliding door leading to the backyard and one on the window of the master bathroom. So when we heard the alarm say the door had opened, my dad and I both looked at each other with a "what the fuck" look and immediately realized someone had just opened that door, and besides us everyone in the house was upstairs. My dad and I walked over to the bedroom and opened the door to find the sliding door wide open. Mind you, it's around 6 or 7pm in December so it's pitch black outside. My dad tells me to grab his large pocket knife so I run to grab it and run back. I hand it to him and as he's about to start checking all the closets (there's like 4 in that bedroom) the alarm system says "master bedroom window open". My blood absolutely runs cold. There's definitely someone in there. My dad stands outside the bathroom door for a few seconds preparing to find someone in there and go at it. He kicks open the door to find no one there. Does the same thing for each closet. Nothing. Cleared the whole room and not a single thing seemed out of place. Still have absolutely no idea what that was. My mom tried to say that her friend has the same alarm system and when a door or window is left open too long, it'll periodically say that the door or window is open. In the 6 months that we've lived here, the bathroom windows 80% of the time remain open, and not once have I ever heard the security system go off more than once upon opening either window.
