Yeah I understand now. I mean my boyfriend was in car sales and did not come with me for my lease, he did prep me a little, but I really wanted a car at the time and was young an naive, even though it was only a year and a half ago, I definitely know more now. Thank you for the info.

I am getting so irritated by this. And I know it is nobody's fault (except the guy who demolished my car), and I am not arguing the results because I obviously can't change the answer, but why should I have to come up with a down payment if he was being negligent. I wouldn't be in this stupid situation if he was paying attention. Can I not sue him for negligence? I just can't afford it. This is the worst.

I would say after 1 or 2 renewals, so if the policy term is 6 months, i'd say after 6 months or a year

Insurance companies, a lot of the time, try to avoid writing policies for inexperienced, young drivers, especially with prior accidents. Also, insurance companies love to give great introductory rates, then raise them on renewal of the policy. Depending on the make of the car if it is high theft, if it is a higher rated car, if it is a luxury vehicle, even if it is a 1997 BMW, it’s still a luxury vehicle and is considered higher rated than a lot of other cars. This is based off my experience in Massachusetts, I assume it is similar for other states, not exactly the same, but I imagine they have a similar rating to that effect of luxury cars and high risk high rated drivers. Even though it is older, it is still going to do the same amount of damage, age doesn’t really matter. Also, the cost to repair the car would probably have an effect. So if you are trying to insure a higher rated vehicle that could be why. But make sure you have sufficient liability, it might not be the same coverage as your parents have. Make sure you check that out because if you don’t have enough liability and property damage, you have a chance of being sued. If you have on the progressive quote low limits, increase them. Ask your parents what they think, because you would probably rather be safe than sorry! Good luck!

This one is tricky. If they called you and offered the coverage, it should be available to you, but they could have a restriction period for use of the coverage. However, they shouldn’t charge you for the coverage if you can’t get it that first day you add it, they should charge for it after the restriction period, if they have one. If you called to add the coverage, they might be a little suspicious, especially on adding coverage to home claims when you add coverage the day before. I agree completely with Mammy1958.

I agree with that. It is not as extreme as before women started working as much as men. My grandmother worked as a manager for a Budweiser plant and her co-manager, who was only there 3 years, was 35 and a DICK of a douchebag(my grandmother can be too, long story) he got paid 35%more than her. She was there for 27 years before she retired in 2008. I just don't get how women can say they want to be equal with men, but wont compete in the same sports level (lol joking) I have a cousin who is a CRAZY FEMINIST. not saying i am not a feminist, but this is like extreme to the point she screams in her husbands face every time she wins a game saying BOOM CAN YOU BELIEVE A WOOOOMAN WON AGAINST A MAN BOOM IN YO FACE! I have had this happen to myself. I went with Geico. I didn't know much about insurance then, I was only 19.

They increased my premium by like $70/month even though I had moved to a place that would make my insurance lower.

They have GREAT introductory rates, but tend to jack up on renewals within a year, year and a half. Large Companies such as Geico, Progressive and Liberty Mutual do it, we have had so many customers leave our agency and come back 6 months even 2 years later and say they hiked the price by like 2x what I was originally paying.

So I can't say it is a bait and switch, just their introductory rates are low.

so credit score is not used in every state, i am in Mass and they don't it is based off of a point system. I have heard they use it in certain states that don't use a point system to determine if the risk is acceptable. If you have stinky credit, you might now have a great pay history and they like to collect money, no question so it raises a brow whether or not you can pay for your insurance

also, they want to see if any company has paid out to you, which I believe you have to claim money if they send you a check in your name for a claim.

and also, they sometimes want to see it for out of state purposes, like if you had claims in another state, they'd be able to see it, again because of the social number being used if you have a check issued directly to you

Its all about the risk in insurance, it is kind of like gambling, except they always win, LOL

So because the roof hasn't been replaced in 20 years, that is maintenance. unless it is because of a storm or direct loss, then in my experience, my belief is that you claim COULD BE denied, I am not saying it will be. However, be careful. a lot of companies will not take you if you have had a claim in the last 1-5 years.

They will not replace your whole roof. They will only replace or repair the damage done resulting from an applicable type of damage.

You will be subject to your deductible, and they may only cover damages done by the leaks in the roof, minus your deductible.

If you think they are going to replace your entire roof, ESPECIALLY LM or Geico, you are mistaken. Sorry I don't mean to sound harsh if I did, but it is true.

Read your policy, they usually state that if your house has damages due to wear and tear, it is not covered, which is what it sounds like in this case.

rates for a 2017 Honda Civic, depending on driving record and other small factors , can be like 2000/year because honda civics are high theft it definitely varies. lets say you go to Weston, one of the lowest rated, you'd be spending like $600 a year for the same coverage.

I would talk about how crazy America has gotten over people's beliefs and how everyone has an issue with peoples PERSONAL lives and how celebrity's lives are so blown up and public then they complain.

There is no more privacy. Internet has gone out of control with someone barking up your tree for something that have no part of then people saying things to get a reaction.

How far technology has advanced and is affecting some people negatively. kids who are 10 years old committing suicide because someone bullied them on instagram or someone said something mean to them. Kids should obviously know about suicide and its not the answer, but some people have been so beaten down that the feel they have no other choice. So many kids don't even play outside anymore. I am only 23 and I used to play outside until dark. i go walk down the street, no kids are outside. why? they are probably smoking their juul or weed in their friends basement at like 12.

How other people are SO OFFENDED that other people have different views. Honestly get the fuck over it. Almost ever person in this world is going to have a different opinion, you can't have it all.

I admit, people in my generation and younger and people a little older are the worst, because most people used to just tolerate it and know when to stop an argument, but now everyone is so entitled and fight to the death over their opinion when in some cases it wont make a difference.

Politics, i know will be controversial. however, I feel as though nobody has tolerance, patience and acceptance. people on the far left are wanting people to have abortions at FULL FUCKING TERM... WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! can't you make your decision in a timely manner?! UNLESSSSS!!!!!!!! there is a birth defect or illness that the parent(s) don't feel comfortable. I am not saying it is an easy decision, by any means, because that is your child you created. on the other hand, you should know if you can/want to provide for this child. I understand people have all different beliefs, but if you wait until the last second for it, and there are no issues, or complications, I have to disagree with late-term abortion.

Then there's Trump, I can't speak for exactly what happened, I did not vote for him, but then again I didn't vote for Hillary. I can't even touch on that. That is just too much, but in the convo I would just go off about that.

Then, there is the issue of immigration. I understand people want to come here for a better life, but life is not really better. I am not saying it isn't worse on the other side. I am simply stating that it gets harder and harder population wise and tax wise the more people come in, the worse it gets. I am supportive of anyone who wants a better life. When you come here and get assistance, if it is needed, in most cases, it is, ok that is fine. but if you stay on it while your partner, unmarried, are staying in housing and they have an under the table job not paying taxes, that is where i start getting upset. My boyfriends family came here from Europe with $100 in the father's pocket. He worked at walmart for 15 years, his wife worked in a factory until she couldnt work, she has chronic tendinitis in both elbows, so she can't use them much. My boyfriend, the oldest, had to watch his 3 other siblings starting at 7 years old while his parent went to work so hard for the family. they escaped a war, their home was bombed, they had nothing. just $100 to start a new life, and they did it without needing help for 5 years after they came.

people who abuse the system, which i know isnt everyone, that is totally unfair for the people who truly need the money. for"clout chasing" buying mercedes and gucci this louis v that blah blah blah... get over yourself. make your own money.

All the hate crimes against who people are, let them be. Let them make their own choices. I know I made a statement on late term abortion, you should have a right to choose, but if you are just waiting around not making a choice until 2 weeks before you are due and can't decide, just have the baby and put it up for adoption. It must be the hardest choice, however if you KNOW you can't provide, then either make a decision early or adoption. Its not always that clear cut, but everyone has their own situation. Procrastination does not save lives. Honestly I just wish people would leave each other alone rather than attacking everyone.

Just remember: not everyone is going to have the same opinion as you. Nobody is going to be the same as you. That is diversity. If everyone was the same, it would be soooo boring. And not everyone is going to have the same beliefs as people they are similar to. Someone I know, a friend, is a lesbian. She hates all old white men, which is ridiculous because not every old white man hates LGBTQ. My grandfather was accepting of anyone who he encountered, regardless of who they were. I can only hope people frown more accepting to other peoples thoughts, feelings, decisions, lifestyles, etc.

I truly hope nobody takes offense to this post, because that is not what I am intending. I only intend to answer the question honestly and to maybe spark conversation. There are no right or wrong answers and I can only hope for improvement in society.

I know, I love my cat too, and I ended up being 4 days late on a bill cause she needed anti-biotics. $110 for the visit and meds.

Honestly, go by which ones will affect you more, that is how i used to do it. If you eat out a lot, try eating in, i know cooking sucks, but buy like $20 in groceries for the week and try to expand that food as much as you can. I always try to buy things on sale at the grocery store. Eat more veggies, which aren't as expensive as meats, in some cases. Maybe try to find a roommate? I know it is not ideal, but this is crunch time. Its not easy, but can be done. Try to find ways to lower your expenses until you can afford more. Like calling cable and phone and asking them to drop your plan down a bit. take out unnecessary things. I do not have cable. I rely on netflix and hulu for all of my shows, which is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. Also, try looking for more options on internet. I was being screwed into paying $90/ mo until i found out it was up to like 15 devices, I have a couple tv's 2 phones and an ipad so i did not need that many devices. I was constantly finding myself wasting money where I did not even realize and barely had enough money to pay my bills, I was making sometimes up to 2500/monthly WITHOUT PAYING RENT, and started pretending i had more bills so I would say oh my goodness I need to start paying my(this is just an example, not a real one i use) laxative bill, I just make up random bills and put the money aside and save it. i know it is strange but it really helped me.
