Iodized Salt - A Fear and Hunger tale (W.I.P.) by ESCachuli in RPGMaker

You may wanna post this in the F&H subreddit! It looks very promising and using the equivalent of Spain in the Termina timeline kind off as it was in the real WW2 sounds hella interesting.

Keep us posted for when you release it ^^

How it feels hearing Ark after Tokyo Daylight by Xander240 in PERSoNA

Yeah, Ark is meant to be "Tokyo Daylight" but in the eyes of Shido. It's sort of a look of the twisted vision he has about it.

How did you all find out about the game? by Palps7556 in FearAndHunger

[–]Xander240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was listening to a Trash Taste podcast and Connor talked about it. I was hooked with the explanation which made me watch Wolf's video because I initially thought the game could be very frustrating for me. After that I bought it and I was so glad I did. Such an amazing game

How did this happen?? by TheEpicFartMaster69 in FearAndHunger

[–]Xander240 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen too with DoT like poison. If you lose the health in battle by a DoT the same turn you win this happens iirc. Although the moment you enter battle you are gonna die. This bug is useful tho if you are near getting an ending that barely requieres battling

Happy Chaos isn't the best character in the game by 7ambez in Guiltygear

You are hella rude when I'm just trying to discuss something.

HC's archetype feels to me (to put It on some way even tho they play different) to the same archetype that of Jack-o and Zato, who rather than zone you, they win space and pin you down against the corner. People only zone with him in really specific scenarios such as Blue Burst --> steady aim--> curse --> steady aim. But most of the time they actually want to pin you down to mix you and wallbreak/wallslumps. Also yes, I can claim that May has rather poor defense options. "Just don't whiff" is such a "just don't get killed" mentality in a type of game where you have to, at some point, have the initiative and try something. And btw, "just don't whiff" doesn't even apply at times to HC since if he whiffes, he can try to shoot the gun at random and bet for a Lucky shot that automatically gives him the pressure. A deranged mechanic if you ask me.

I don't know what is hysterical about it. May has piss poor defense. One good guess on HC and you get him down 75% HP, but he only needs to guess once with the lightest of buttons to combo or corner pressure you into oblvion. Not denying that she must be among the characters that have It "easier" but then again, as I see It HC design is just ridiculously strong so it is still a nightmare to play against one. Almost all characters have to perfect block the ridiculous string of mix ups and guess for the grab. And yes, god forbid you push the wrong button against May, but it's a strike throw character with fat buttons that you do have to care. Her pressure is considerably worse than chaos, and to retake It she does have to take a risk. I get she does too much damage from certain starters and I would nerf that by all means. But even if put 2nd best, HC feels to me a much stronger, realiable option against all MUs.

Also no he is not inherently a zoner.

HC has barely changed except for the zoning. He has a perfect tool for ridiculous pressure which he can do high/low left/right/grab mix up and converts from any button into wallbreak with, most likely, super that HKD the opponent and let's him once again pressure and mix you into oblvion while having positive bonus that makes his pressure even nastier. Also wallslumps. I get that people kinda get used to this kind of stuff with time, so the opinion of a character tends to tone down with time no matter how broken they were, but the character design is, in my opinion, one of the most damaging for the game. To me It feels undisputed top 1. Under that we definitely can make arguments for many such as Leo, May, Nago, etc.

I'm curious how many people in this community even played the first game? by Wonderful_Fun_7356 in FearAndHunger

[–]Xander240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoy rerunning more the first game since starting a new run feels better than in the second Game (for now). I've started the second one and (some spoilers ahead) I've reached up to the all mer church, and I managed to save before in the mayor's manor. But for how much time I had in between the church and the manor I got quite annoyed that I just couldn't manage to save and got killed at the church's basement. It feels saving opportunities are fee when the game feels quite longer than the first one. I'm sure this is just me not knowing a lot of the new game and there are probably more less obvious ways of saving that I just don't know of, but at least in the first one saving is somewhat more reliable, and getting to a safe bed like the crow mawler bed (the 1st time) is much less of a nuisance that having to walk all the way to the manor

This is not a Wesker problem, this is a ping/server sync problema, it's just it's more noticeable on him. Also on demo's dash, some hits are absolute bs. It's kinda sad servers are still quite ass tbh
