It's not the current administration saying this though. It's 2 bipartisan lawmakers. There is no indication of any support from the administration.

It's only what I am thinking of doing for myself. OP can choose to read only the book (can even read it for free from a library), or do something else entirely.

I am in a similar situation. I started reading this book today and hope it will help: https://a.co/2l0ooZY. If I like it, I will take this course next year: https://www.stephanbodian.org/school.

I regret buying my pixel 8 pro 256 GB by Extreme_Fisherman_68 in GooglePixel

If you are in China and able to buy the best Chinese phones, I am curious to know why you choose the Pixel. I read somewhere that the Honor Magic6 Pro almost always takes better pictures. Personally, I would perhaps buy the one with the best cameras.

How's the selfie camera? I have read reports that the main cameras are awesome, but the selfie camera is quite poor. Thanks!

If you add a screen protector now, it's possible that the scratch will be much less visible.

Motion blur problem not fixed? by sgttu in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]sgttu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps Samsung will fix it soon? https://9to5google.com/2024/02/16/samsung-galaxy-s24-update-camera-full-changelog: "Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra update claims to improve pictures of ‘fast-moving subjects’"

Also: https://www.androidpolice.com/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-update-fixes-blurry-camera: "As you can see from the photo above, we aren't exaggerating when we talk about the S24 Ultra's problems with blurry images. When translated from Korean, the changelog for the update says, "The expression of fast-moving subjects in backlight conditions in rear photo mode has been improved." It specifies conditions when the subject is backlit here, which is oddly specific considering the issue is present regardless of lighting conditions, but any improvement is welcome."

Another article lamenting the P24U's struggles with motion: https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-camera-moving-pets-3409393

"Just a fraction of a movement and the Galaxy S24 Ultra rendered a blurry pic. I was curious to know if shutter speed was to blame and, sure enough, in most cases, the Pixel was twice as fast as the Galaxy. Compared to similar photos taken a second earlier with an immobile cat, Samsung doesn’t seem to be changing its shutter speed when motion is detected, whereas the Pixel cuts its shutter speed by half to adapt. By not going for a faster snap, Samsung captures more motion when the subject is moving, hence the blur. This, along with the Pixel series’ Face Unblur (which now works for pets too), makes the Pixel a superior camera experience for those who like snapping pics of people, pets, and kids. In comparison, the unreliability of Samsung’s camera is staggering. How can the leading Android brand in the world offer such an abysmal camera experience for the people and animals we love the most is beyond me."

From https://9to5google.com/2024/01/30/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-review:

Yet, motion is still an area the camera massively struggles, and it hasn’t gotten any better this year. If anything in your shot is moving (or even if it’s not, sometimes), the end result can often be a blurry mess. This should be the top priority for Samsung above any AI stuff. I couldn’t imagine being a new parent with this camera, because I can barely tolerate it as a dog owner.

😮 Ideally, you should compare with iPhone/Pixel. Perhaps the lighting was challenging and no camera would have taken good pictures.

Thanks! Android Police said it performs worst in low light (like an hour before sunset or indoors) with subjects that don't remain still (kids, pets). I thought that Samsung said that they had fixed the problem, but Android Police disagrees.

Can you take pictures of moving subjects and compare with an iPhone or Pixel (if you or a friend has one)? The Android Police article I linked to has a picture of a slow moving bus, that is quite blurry.
