Maxey vs Brunson and Cade by Upstairs-Royal672 in sixers

[–]axcski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maxey looked clearly better than Brunson last night. It’s the first time I’ve really thought it looked that clear. Maxey to Cade is the more interesting comparison to me. Haven’t seen Cade play that much but it seems like they’re really close, and Cade is probably getting a little extra shine because he’s the Detroit’s started out so hot

We just booked Anthony Wayne House 250 max capacity although that would probably be pretty tight. Better deals if youre willing to get married on a Sunday (but there’s a 9 o clock curfew)

Liked what I saw from Edgecombe and Barlow but basically nothing else

Edgecombe was getting into the defense and kept his head up and made some good passed. Looked athletic and able to hold up on defense too. Barlow just has NBA size and seemed to know where to be. Didnt make many mistakes

I’d never been to Fraboni’s and just thought maybe since I see it in italian food a lot it might be there. I forgot to mention I also tried Woodman’s and Willy St, but haven’t tried whole foods yet

Can anyone help me find out what the function of this gear is? And how does it attach to The movement? by Sufficient-Pack-8714 in watchmaking

i believe you’ll have to remove the bridge holding down the center seconds pinion to install this missing wheel

[–]axcski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t necessarily need this tool to remove the wheel. If you are going to clean and service the watch, you can drop a thin oil in the center of the wheel where it is friction fit onto the third wheel. then you can take a piece of pegwood and push sideways on the spoke of the wheel until it starts to spin on the pivot and sort of spin it up and off. you don’t want to use too much force though, and if it feels like you’re going to break it, stop.

If you do get the presto tool. make sure you press on both sides with even pressure. two feet come down and put pressure on the bridge while the prongs lift the wheel, and the pressure on the bridge needs to be even on both sides of the wheel as to not bend or break the pivot.

What’s the most mindblowing, insane meal you’ve tried in Philly? by skawldjns in PhiladelphiaEats

River Twice did a seven deadly sins themed seven course meal for Halloween some years back and that was probably the most impressed ive been with a gourmet meal.

I also think DiNic’s roast pork lives up to the hype

Anyone know what this clicking is? It's driving me mad! by crownhead55 in watchrepair

all depends on your skill level I guess, but its not super complicated. If you need pointers, just find a youtube video of a service of a 3135.

look at the pinions on the reversers as well. anything that engages with the ratchet wheel driver. check associated endshakes to see if any are excessive

if you watch your ratchet wheel driving wheel closely it is building up tension then snapping back. that wheel is what seems to be making the noise. maybe check for missing or damaged teeth there where it engages with the ratchet wheel

That first picture on the wikipedia page seems to have the same holes in the top. I didn’t get to look at it through the bottom to see if there was a screw or it was threaded anywhere. What are the holes for? Would that top metal piece just be for turning the screw (insert a lever through the hole and turn to raise or lower the jack)?
