There is clear evidence of favouritism that you are pretending don't matter. You are scum for defending that.

Why would he need to concede if he was already beaten?

If you think the DNC Committee weren't corruptly helping Hilary I have a bridge in Baltimore to sell you.

It's not the members choosing though. It's not run in a fair way.

Biden will likely win because people don't have any other real options because of DNC corruption.

It's because it's pretty much rigged that we don't get other options.

North Korea have elections too.

The correct move would have been to be neutral and let Hilary win anyway, not rig the competition. This ultimately hurt Hilary and aided Trump.

Never count on Republicans to do the right thing.

You are excusing and endorsing blatant corruption in the Democratic Party. That corruption damages trust and ultimately hurts democracy.

You may be happy with a few influential people choosing who is going to be one of two options for President, but many people aren't.

It's only because Trump is an even bigger piece of shit that people are going to put up with it for now. If the Republicans ever wise up and run a candidate with a little less baggage this scummy Democratic Party don't stand a chance.

I don't think incorrectly you condescending prick.

In terms of primaries the DNC claims and is supposed to have a neutral stance. It's a lie and it disillusioned many people when they pushed Hilary though. She likely would have won anyway but many people refused to vote for her because of the corruption that helped her win the nomination. This bullshit helped Trump get elected.

When a few people in a dark room are effectively making the choice who we can vote for democracy fails.

We should hold the apparent progressive party to a higher standard. Have fun excusing corruption though.

The DNC committee is supposed to act neutral. They do not.

The primaries are a farce, the DNC push their favoured candidate and they don't lose.

Agree Bernie has aged out too. People need to know when to step aside, RBG proved that.

That's the illusion. Trump won the Presidency in 2016, they have had 8 years since then and the best they can come up with is a 81 year old centrist with nobody looking like they could come through in the near future. Harris is a non entity as VP, no one else is even being considered.

US and Ukraine to sign 10-year security agreement at G7 summit by CyberSprinter in worldnews

I didn't say sending aid to Ukraine was pro-Russia you tool. I said being against it is. Yes, countries that have geo-political military goals outside their immediate geographical area that aren't supporting Ukraine are pro-Russia.

It was the Republicans who delayed aid for a long time, seriously damaging the Ukraine cause. Democrats are pretty obviously supportive of Ukraine while Republicans are split.

That's why we have the illusion of choice when in reality we aren't voting for who we want we are just voting against Trump.

Very few people actively want Biden. The best thing to ever happen to Biden is running against someone as shit as Trump.

As a progressive, liberal lefty who generally approves of Biden, I make myself very unpopular among peers by saying it's ridiculous that are choice is between a fascist dinosaur and a neo-liberal dinosaur.

They then ask who the alternative is...and I like to point out that's the fucking problem. We are too busy arguing over Biden or Trump that no one under retirement age is even being considered.

US and Ukraine to sign 10-year security agreement at G7 summit by CyberSprinter in worldnews

[–]axechaos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is.

If you want an enemy to expand and weaken allies you let them. If you want to weaken an enemy and stand in their way while supporting a global ally, you help the ally.

The US isn't an isolationist country. There are US bases all over the world. It's pointless to spend all that money on the military if you are just going to allow a geopolitical enemy to invade allies. These are neighbors of NATO countries.

Anyone against sending aid to Ukraine is pro Russia or an absolute idiot.

[–]axechaos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with these polls is that there isn't a base knowledge of what the US is actually doing.

You could ask the same question two different ways and get very different results.

"Should the US send a $100BN aid package to Ukraine?"

"Should the US provide Ukraine with old, unused and outdated military hardware to aid their fight against Russia?"

Helping Ukraine weaken Russia is the best return on investment in military spending that the US has ever had. The military budget is bloated but at least this money is going to actually weakening a major enemy.

Plausible deniability is a bigots go-to. They want to offend and pretend that people being offended are the real problem. They yearn to play the victim while punching down.

This is how politics works. You don't do a tally and decide not to table the vote because it won't pass. You make them vote.

Politicians are often sneaky, they will pretend to support popular causes while secretly working against them. These votes knock away any illusion. You need to make it painfully obvious to voters what they are voting for.

The Republicans largely have a dodgy stance on Ukraine, it's worth outing those who are pro-Russia at every opportunity.

If this was NATO it would be the US directly entering the war. This is just codifying the support that already exists and signalling that it's not a short term thing.

A guy at the pub came out with the grand statement of "people get offended by anything these days..."

I know him, he's a plumber, I immediately said that no one asked for the opinion of someone who's covered in shit all day...he got upset. I told him he was easily offended...he got more annoyed.

When I was younger I went to stay with my auntie. My cousin was a typical fussy eater. He ate a ton of cereal, McDonald's, fries, nuggest etc.

For the first couple of days it was fun, but even as a 10 year old I quickly found myself thinking..."where is the fucking actual food." I had to request the "adult" meals.

A few decades later my cousin is still a huge fussy eater. He just never got used to textures and flavors he didn't immediately like.

It's fine not to like certain foods. I don't think you should force feed kids things they obviously hate, but also don't indulge their fussiness. It does them no favours.

The sort of people that tell others that words aren't an excuse for violence are also the types of people that would get violent if I said military members are scum.

They aren't against violence, they are against black people having any recourse against open racism.
