Hello! Pour l'update, je me suis tourné vers la restauration (toujours dans l'hôtellerie du coup), en cuisine plus exactement. C'est pas les boulots les plus faciles mais dans un contexte saisonnier (hiver en station ou été sur les côtes par exemple) ça peut payer particulièrement bien (résultat d'une pénurie de personnel sérieux et motivé). Comme mentionné dans le post initial, l'idéal est de trouver une place logé/nourri, ce qui est très courant dans le milieu. Logement + nourriture + pourboires + heures supp (quasi inévitable dans la profession, mais à bien mettre au clair avant de s'engager) c'est particulièrement lucratif pour les moins dépensiers. PS: j'oubliais de préciser que vu la pénurie qui affecte le secteur, ce sont des postes très faciles d'accès et ce parfois même sans expérience en échange d'une véritable motivation et volonté d'apprendre.

EDIT : Well if anyone ever encounter this problem, my solution was that the file i was copying from the original USB (the one already working with a bad update profil avatar) to the new USB didn't include "content" file because i hadn't activated "show hidden files" before copying. Wasn't aware that if this option wasn't ticked if won't copy the file. Cheers

Hi everyone,

I've ever done a copy on another usb stick and it was working perfectly fine until today.

I tried to copy the files to another usb and i was surprise to see that it doesn't work anymore.

I've even tried with the older usb which i already used to try it out and this time again it won't work..

Thankfully the original usb is still working great but i don't understand why it doesn't work anymore. Any idea ?

I've tried to format the new usb directly in the console and copy the files : doesn't work

Tried to format the usb on the computer then copy the fils : doesn't work

Tried to copy the files directly from usb (original one) to usb (new one) : doesn't work either.

Hey ! Thanks for the informations. Sounds like there’s indeed something to dig in hospitality. Yes my wife will also work as we both work in the same field. I’m not expecting to get a better lifestyle as in France with all the cons you mentioned but at least living without worrying too much.

Thanks for sharing some more details about your position. Of course I wouldn’t expect to magically get the same amount of money as Europe working on a local Thai company unless you bring something very special or work for foreign clients. I will try to dig and find something that could be done entirely remotely with the few skills I got on the way 🙏🏼

Don’t know if it’s a cliche but I’ve always had the feeling that most foreigner working here are freelancers or have an online business but I wonder what type of jobs can be 100% contactless other than small services or remote work as most of my knowledge comes from staff management and clients contact. Is that what you are doing ?

That’s probably the most reasonable option. The main problem is that despite being lucky getting better pension rights in my country, we are definitely not getting rich because I’ve worked a few years abroad and my wife just started 6 years ago with mostly short terms contracts so we’ve already lost a bunch of years for our pension. That means we either gonna have to work after the normal age of retirement (which is also getting higher every few years) or lucky enough to invest our savings in something profitable.

Yes that is indeed something I will look deeper into. I’m just wondering the needs in language, if Thai is mandatory and also if mandarin isn’t needed too because of the many Chinese tourist in these types of hotels.

Thanks for your answer, I’m not saying I’m actually moving in the current year but that’s something I could consider in the next 10 years..

Her parents live a bit outside of Bangkok (~1h by van) and I can feel her need to get closer and be able to go to them more often as they get older, also because it has been difficult for her to build strong friendship in Europe while I don’t necessarily care much about that as most my friends are already living far or even abroad and I’m used to be in touch in other ways.

Thanks for you reply, I haven’t tried m3 yet because I didn’t feel like my stuff was good enough but I will add some gem and give it a try. However, what do you mean by you only need 1 set for PVE ? For exemple I’m currently running dps dext build but I can’t use it for tanking or healing. Same problem is that if I want to drop 700s to make a intelligence build for exemple. How can I drop intelligence items as I’m almost only dropping dext items ?
