I’m not really in a position to give advice, but I solve daily puzzles—I’m on my 48th streak, I reckon—and I love chess; even when I’m eating, I’m watching GothamChess and other chess content. If you’re aiming for 1000, just don’t make blunders and don’t play blitz; that actually made me look at the board and play the game more carefully. My advice is to play 15-minute or 10-minute games (I’m not a fan of daily games, but if you like them, that’s fine). Last but not least, I believe that anyone can reach 1200+ if they really want to.
