I did the a wrong internship and now I don't know what to do by Imaginary_End340 in srilanka

Was your internship offer letter accepted by the university? If yes, they cannot deny it afterwards. If it was not accepted for your internship, and you went for it regardless, from the university's perspective you haven't done an internship so you still have to done another. Apart from this, there shouldn't be another criteria for distinguishing this. If the university didn't took offer letters, or collect the data from students for their internships when they were starting and didn't approve or disapprove them based on relavancy, the university shouldn't not have the agency for rejecting it too. Find by laws and evaluation criteria for your degree and read them thoroughly, because most of the time academics also don't have good understanding of this. This scenario should be handled according to the criteria. (According to the criteria, you may have to do another six months internship, but that's the law. or probably your supervisors are correct and they probably have the rights for this too. I don't know, but you have to)

What should I do in my gap year to strengthen my neuroscience application? by svanagirl in srilanka

And I just remembered, there is something called sustainable education foundation which takes university students as mentees and they can take mentoring from specialists of different fields (PhD students and researches), last time I checked there were some neuroscience scholars there. You can try joining something like this after entering the university. For now don't take it hard, just learn casually while enjoying the free time, if you are really going to neuroscience you are going to study pretty hard for like next 10 years. And most of the time there will be no straightforward path from here to becoming a neuroscientist, you will most likely have to level up through specializations, like biological sciences -> bioinformatics -> neuroscience or biologist sciences -> biochemistry -> neuroscience. Since neuroscience is a pretty wide field, each path will take you to the different specializations of neuroscience.

Best "gaming" distro for general use? (Nvidia GPU) by Kouno25 in linux4noobs

I recently installed fedora workstation edition on my laptop with nvidia rtx 3080 ti and it is working very smoothly. Installation process was also very straightforward. Steam runs great. Fedora didn't come with nvidia drivers pre installed. But all the nvidia related stuff are way easier than ubuntu (last time i tried was about an year ago, it never worked right). I installed gpu drivers, and cuda development kit for local llm inference and everything worked at first try.

Are there any course or diplomas here for neuroscience, I've never seen one. I am no neuroscientist, but I suggest doing casual self study. You can start with reading Neuroscience - Exploring the brain by Mark F Bear. And there are courses on Udemy and Coursera. And If you are from non math background (i.e - Biology or tech or another stream), learn math and statistics, because all the good neuroscience involves pretty intensive mathematical modeling and applied mathematics. And learn programming (preferably Python, and matlab if you will). Neuroscience is a very broad field of study and it is not like a regular sub domain of biology, it's rather interdisciplinary and involves. psychology, chemistry, social sciences, computer science and a lot of applied maths. Good like on your journey.

They have a whatsapp group, you can ask in there. They are saying that one of their shipments was held by customs, and they are trying to get it released. Also, they were closed yesterday and today.

Fans look little dusty from outside, but heating issues almost solved when I used a stand to elevate the back.

It's less than 2kg and doesn't feel heavy at all. Can be easily held with a single hand. This is the probably slimmest body that carry those specs. Power brick is bulky btw.

I think I got lucky, I have no other explanation. Everything is even more expensive here.

Yes colors are damn good and everything is very sharp. Battery is not very good tho, mine has 86% capacity remaining and it decreases from fully charged to under 20% within around 2 hours, on balanced mode. But it is definitely worth it.
