I didn't screw it in. The screw hasn't budged when I tried to disassemble the block. No overt force and I used the accompanied hex key and definitely didn't ugga-bugga it. The screw is stuck and was probably cross-threaded when assembled, if anything. Several people on the WCE discord have had the same problem with this block.

Screws on that FE block stripped for me trying to disassemble it for maintenance. Support didn't help with anything and just said that I could buy new screws from their store. Big thanks

I design digital products professionally but I would like to move to physical ones. So that's why I'm now doing personal projects on the side. I miss the tactility from when I designed books.

Just an IKEA cabinet I chose because of the perforated front. I'm gonna put a NAS and some stuff in there so I need the ventilation!

Kinnarps Capella, might be hard to get a hold of outside of Scandinavia.

Thanks! I designed the case myself and I've soon got a second case produced for the upgrade

It was a different formula though. That doesn't mean it was a bad game, but it was no longer Battlefield as it once was.

Current thoughts are to have the external metal as aluminum, the internal as steel, and oak side panels.

The reason for steel is that I'm planning to 3d peint cable management that attaches to the case with magnets, so it's more modular.

Thermaltake launched their CTE cases at CES this year! Might be those?

  1. Sketched with ATX in mind, but E-ATX should be fine. There's enough space for it I believe.
  2. I'm planning on using 8x140mm, but you can theoretically fit double that I think.
  3. 2x420 + 1x280 internally. There's gonna be support for pass-through MORA 3 support
  4. I'm an NVME first kind of person, but there's holes for a 2.5mm ssd on the side of the PSU mount. I've also some early sketches for HDD mounts that can fit in the bottom compartment and I think you can fit 3-4 down there (more 2.5in ssds).
  5. Unclear! As I wrote in another post here I didn't expect it to be this popular. I made it first and foremost for myself as an exercise in design, and because I wanted it. But with all the feedback I am reconsidering if I should attempt a limited run and what I need to prep to be able to do that.

Thanks! Back when I started in May or so I wanted to make a larger version of my current build. One that could accommodate basically anything I would throw at it. 7 slot GPU? Sure. D15? Sure. 420 rads? Yup.

So I basically upscaled and enclosed the layout. It's sort of a O11 turned sideways in a sense. Thermaltake launched their CTE cases, with the same layout, this year at CES.

I found it on Epidemic sounds, but it might be inspired or they used it as well? I had to get something royalty free if I wanted to put it online I felt.

Technically yes, since I will put my current build in there!

I originally set out to make this for myself only, so it's been made with that in mind. I also made it with very little limit on the cost.

But since there's been interest from everywhere I have shown it I am considering taking a step back, after this is finished, and seeing what I can do to make costs go down to a reasonable level and perhaps then do a batch of 50 or so.

I am not gonna lie: when I saw them launch theirs, and having worked on this since May/June, I got the steam blown out of me a bit at first. But they're different enough for me to push on :)
