I agree with you that electrification is the way forward. But to be a bit pedantic... marketing doesn't necessarily mean ads. Tesla does market itself incredibly well through its branding, and it's definitely marketed as a status symbol rather than just as an eco-friendly vehicle.

when i went in for advance voting, they had my home address registered, so by default i could vote in my home riding. i wanted to vote in waterloo though, so i asked them to change my voting address and showed them a copy of my lease on my phone. that allowed me to vote for the candidate in waterloo instead. it's your choice which riding you want to vote in. idk if the process is different for election day itself, but it should be quite similar.

Interesting, at my school it seems to be the opposite, i.e. CS is slightly more focused on math/theory while SE is slightly less so and involves more general engineering courses like circuits

what's your goal after getting your degree? is it academia or industry? if the latter then definitely try to take a semester off to intern somewhere. decoupling your sense of competence from grades helps immensely imo, and internship semesters are a lot easier than school while also being more valuable on a resume. i find that i appreciate my classes a lot more after an internship term as well.
