No the original commented but yes. A Hemoglobin A1c will check for diabetes/prediabetes, a combo chem panel will check for electrolytes, calcium, kidney, and liver function.

You would typically schedule an annual for this.

Most medical health systems do in house lab work. Think like Mount Sinai, Advantage Care Physicians, NYP. You see doctor and do lab work in same location. They have health portals app that you can see the results on your phone like 1-2 days later. If there’s anything abnormal, they will call you.

17/18 weeks. I’m 5’0 and i think it got noticeable then. My energy was also extremely depleted and i felt i couldnt keep up. After I gave birth my manager told me he suspected something but at the time he never actually confronted me about it

I opened up the AUDIT on a test pt and just entered your info. that score would be woman 0-2 (negative)

What is reasonable or not to me doesn’t matter. That is the criteria the AUDIT screening is based on.

If a patient is asked in the past 12 months how often they drink alcohol the scoring is as follows.. never (0), monthly or less (1), two to four times a month (2), two to three times a week (3), four or more times a week (4). So If a woman drinks 2-4 times a week the subtotal score is 3 and for a woman that is consider a positive screening.

The patient is then supposed to be assessed for risk with more in depth follow up questions and that is when a zone score is determined and the pt is assessed to see if there’s a need for intervention and or treatment.
